This started off as a way of playing with a new watercolour brush set but as ever was in danger of becoming too over worked so I just added some detail and stopped.

Not a perfect likeness but certainly recognisable, and the brush set is definitely one I’ll be using again.

And as usual it’s been a while. This was going somewhere entirely different but ended up ok anyway. I need to be more disciplined with what I’m doing so I get the results I want 😄

First scribble of 2025. So much for trying other subjects.

I have a theory.

Most women will assume this is Marilyn Monroe… Most men will know why it isn’t 😄

I’ve really not done enough this year but this was possibly my favourite as it was simple but effective.

I thought I'd do my annual art round up for the year...

20 drawings... Bit of a poor show really. That said, I did try a couple of different techniques, more paintings on just one layer, and at least one that wasn't a person or part of.

I was given an interesting challenge a week or so back by Todd, a comic creator friend. Take the image top left and give it a painted feel in the style of the Goya painting bottom left. Pretty chuffed with the result 😎
