A scene from the Titanic where the boat sinks and the orchestra keeps playing. Over the sinking ship, it says "fascism" and over the band it says "smut artists"

I saw Nobody at AIF and it was incredible. Most fun I’ve ever had in a theater. I can’t wait to watch it again and recommend everyone watch it whenever they can too!

What books did Alberta schools *actually* pull off the shelves in response to a provincial order? It took a lot of work to find out. We still don't have a complete picture. And some schools are still pulling material.

Free speech advocates say it's ban unmatched in Canadian history. #AbLeg By me.

“the thinker of tender thoughts” by shel silverstein

[an illustration depicting a boy growing into a man. as he grows, his hair grows out as flowers. people laugh at him for it and he becomes sad. he starts trimming off the flowers, but as he reaches the last one he stops. he is then depicted with a smile and a flower in his buttonhole on his jacket.]

Calling AI "slop" has been one of the most effective instances of the public rebranding a product and it pisses them off.

It’s funny if you call PayPal or visa lines and bring this up asking why they claim “adult illustrations” is against their regulations but betting on the death of kids is totally fine. They don’t have an answer.

In fact yall should call them at least once a day with this :)

Finding lovely art references in Frieren to one of my ancestors is kinda wonderful.

This shot in episode 5 of season 2 is probably inspired/a reference to Les Glaneuses, from Jean-François Millet, who was renouned for his depictions of peasant farmers (he was part of the Realism movement).

ART!

We have to address the donkey in the room. It’s not just Republicans who got us here.

We need to hold our party accountable if we want any progress.
