What an incredible double issue filled with a variety of approaches to our experiments with ungrading.

Shoutout to editors @lisawj.bsky.social & @jennblaylock.bsky.social, and all of our fellow contributors!

Here, I reflect on how my own education and training ultimately shaped me into the instructor I am today, as well as the nuances of grading (and/or ungrading) creative and artistic work. I situate the building of self-confidence as a key component to student learning and success.
