Photo of a tiny white 20-petal flower that is covered in pink and yellow polkadots.
My favourite wildflower, Prickly Saxifrage. Pic 1 shows the normal 5-petal form of this crazy-beautiful little flower. The other pic shows a rare (Iβve only seen one) 20-petal form. Pics from a few years ago at Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. #wildflower #flower #botany
Wonderful to have @nluymes.bsky.social represent the #WILDlab and muskox research in NWT at the Cold Regions Research Conference this week!
We also had @christinedunbar.bsky.social give a β¨FANTASTICβ¨ 3 minute thesis on #muskox too.
Thanks for hosting @crrc-wlu.bsky.social
Thrilled to have talked about my masters research on βHabitat Drivers in an Expanding Muskox (YutthΓ©jΓ«rΓ©; Ovibos moschatus) Rangeβ today at the 2025 Cold Regions Conference in Waterloo, Ontario! Loved listening to all the great research projects happening in the NWT βοΈ
New research! Authors examine camera trapping trends in Australia, finding strong taxonomic, geographic, and analytical biases, but also new ways to meet big conservation objectives. Great stuff! Glad to play a very small part. Congrats Tom and WildObs! β‘οΈ
