Time to turn UP THE ENERGY on community power! And to kick things off this week, we’re heading to Westminster.
On Wednesday 4th March, a coalition of organisations will hand in an open letter calling on Government to #UpTheEnergy on community power.

Whether it's NatCon & Nigel Farage being shut down in Brussels, or the Palestine Congress and Yanis Varoufakis being silenced in Berlin, censorship of those we disagree with is not good. Freedom of speech is fundamental in any democracy, regardless of whether you lean left or right politically.

Claire Coutinho, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, tweets criticism of Labour's pledge to decarbonise the grid by 2030. Describes the pledges as 'mad' and accuses them of playing politics with Britain's energy supply.
It is so, so disappointing to see ambition on climate and energy continually politicised.

🌳 The Conservatives by 2035.
The difference in cost between those dates? £11.4bn
📈 The gas crisis cost over last 2.5 years? £105bn
*somebody* is always going to pay for pollution. the question is who. the Trump team think that pollution should be paid for in hospital bills, human lives, and diminished ecosystems, not by the companies who generate it. it's that simple.
I’ve always been uncertain about geo engineering, but then again, what we’ve been doing for the past 200 years, and continue to do by emitting GHGs IS geo engineering, although unintentional. I think what you’re suggesting is pretty much inevitable at this stage.
