Two more shots of the Hooded Crow that was present at the crow pre-roost on Link's Hill car park, Lowestoft. The crows are fed here most mornings so there's a very good chance it'll be there first thing before they disperse #SuffolkBirding

I wasn't expecting to see a Hooded Crow at Link's Hill, Lowestoft this evening, courtesy of Andrew Easton (pictured in his mobile hide!). Only my third in the Lowestoft area; the last being on May 21st 2025.

Absolutely love this Red Kite on the lakeside snags at Holkham as the watery sun started setting in the misty & murky sky this evening.

Hanging out the washing this morning when a migrant Coal Tit started singing in the neighbour's tree. Washing dropped, bins and camera grabbed and our house list increased by one! Coal Tits are less than annual on Barra. House list now stands at 154 species. #birdingscotland
โWe never thought that in 20 years we could have gone from being this depleted, polluted, dysfunctional post-industrial farmland, to being one of the most significant biodiversity hotspots in Britainโ

Help!
Can someone please tell me which Red Kite tagging project uses white tags with 2 black letters?
Saw this one (FD) over Westleton Heath, Suffolk on Friday

The Hume's Warbler is still present in Sparrow's Nest/the Denes Oval this morning.

Naff boc shots, but the Willet on Boa Vista showed nicely today. All gearing up nicely for the pelagics off Fogo next week, hopefully some quality sea-birding here on Cape Verde to come...
Always a treat to find a Cream coloured Courser! Such strange birds, could watch them for hours. This bird was happily feeding in the Gravel Pits + 9 Garganey, 5 Teal, 21 Pintail, 8 Shoveler, 6 Ruff, Sandwich Tern, 4 Pallid Swift, Isabelline Wheatear & Tawny Pipit

Red kite and WTE
The WTE With the EWT visitors centre and pumping station
WTE with Herring gull, which was taken to the bank. The gull managed to get away although it didnโt look great and probably would succumb to its injuries.
That was a great morning at Abberton church watching the White tailed Eagle. Always distant but nice to see it hunting (unsuccessfully) for Coot and it even caught a Herring gull which somehow got away. Last seen flying N around midday #essexbirding
The Abberton WTE from this morning unsuccessfully hunting a Herring gull, it caught it twice but it still got away #essexbirding
Brilliant weekend @rspbminsmere.bsky.social Having thought this was an extremely early swallow, some very helpful people have confirmed it is in fact a red rumped swallow ๐ฎ seen flying over the north wall. Not a great photo butโฆ. Amazing! @rarebirder.bsky.social @btobirds.bsky.social
The Bonaparte's Gull was still roaming around the west side of Barra today, again often foraging along or near to the road. Also the Surf Scoter was still in Vatersay Bay and the Velvet Scoter was still off Ardmhor. #birdingscotland #RareBirdsUK
Field sketches of two White-billed Divers recently at Inverkeithing, Fife for #SuperSeabirdSunday with a bit of color added later. An absolute privilege to sit and sketch these! A British tick and what absolute stonkers! Cheers ๐ป
Had to pick up my daughter from a party in Hopton today. But that meant that the long-staying Hume's Warbler in Lowestoft was essentially en route, so didn't feel like a twitch... @lowestoftlizards.bsky.social
A most enjoyable couple of hours on the beach at Waxham this morning with the Glaucous Gull and seals. We thought we'd had good views already and were walking back when it caught up with us and landed right opposite us on the beach. Here's a few more shots #NorfolkBirding
Funny thing how often you see a pic of WB Diver with the tip of its lower mandible broken- my pet theory is that they stub it flushing flatfish but it is fair to say that this is unsubstantiated through personal observation.
A dinky gull feeding near the road at Borve had us doing an emergency stop this morning: a fabulous adult Bonaparte's Gull giving incredible views. Only the second record for Barra and my third self-found. #birdingscotland #RareBirdsUK

The original White-billed Diver from Tuesday has returned to #Blyth South Harbour after a morning trip to the Sleekburn Spit further up the estuary.
Second White-billed Diver of the week on the River Blyth. This one found yesterday by Brian Martin is at Coniston Road on the Riverside Park. Easy Parking and a. 20 metres walk to the bird . The original bird is now also visible on the Sleekburn #NEbirding

Eastbourne: Many thanks to Harvey for turning up this zinger of a Wheatear at Sovereign Harbour today. What a treat and my first EVER in February. Spring is offically here!
I never knew Wallcreeper ate Reptiles! Today I watched this Bird take a small Lizard from the Rockface and devour it. #birding #wallcreeper
