Here’s a blog post I wrote about the project. A whole lot has changed since I wrote this, but it should get people up to speed on the project’s creation :)

Ryckert’s Island is a Super Mario World ROM hack dedicated to @danryckert.bsky.social and @fireescape.bsky.social. I have been working on this project on and off since the pandemic. Recently, I returned to it, and my lifelong dream of creating my own #Mario game is finally becoming a reality.
