It's in og RE4 lol! It happens when the plagas start to control Leon. Ada says after killing Krauser that she doesn't like men who play rough. Also the CGI movie Damnation did imply they've boned which the director confirmed by saying something like "they shared a romantic evening together".

Another thing in the scene were Leon chokes her she actually closes her eyes as he reaches out to her because she thinks he's gonna kiss her which is interesting considering people often characterise Ada as some dommy mommy lol.

Leon and Sherry not mentioning Claire or Ada sucked so much. Also super weird Sherry never brought up her parents either or that she was taken to the orphanage by Irons(though I could see them ignoring that story element of 2R since it's absolute nonsense).

But it is still a big retcon to the character we knew from the older RE games. We can justify it with headcanons and whatnot but the games have not done much to give us real concrete evidence as to why he'd have a change of heart. All we know for certain is that he loved Grace.

Had they kept his reasoning ambiguous which I think Capcom wanted to, I think that would've been more fitting. Village already retconned Spencer to not be Nazi coded and instead be a more jaded survivor of WW2 and thats why he wanted to change the world, so RE9 making him regretful didnt surprise me

I certainly think Spencer would be more contemplative near the end of his life but I think RE9 does lean a bit too heavy into saying he was regretful, like we have Grace saying this outright very clearly and the only characters who refute her are villains who then promptly die.

I think retroactively that can make sense but for the longest time Spencer has just been a big nazi coded eugenicist who genuinely wanted to make a race of "perfect" people he could rule over as a God. Regardless of his regrets he's still evil for what he did to the Trevor family lol.

Yeah if Spencer wasn't retconned into being regretful then destroying Elpis would be the clear choice but I thought the game was pretty clear about this retcon especially taking Village into account so I didn't even consider destroying Elpis lol. That retcon is fuckin hilarious to me.

Totally agree. It's hard going from Dread or SR's hard mode which feels challenging but fun to bullet sponge hell in the Prime games, I'm disappointed Prime 4 didn't correct this flaw.

Reminder that the reason we didn't get Alyson Court back to voice Claire is because Capcom didn't want to hire union VA's. It's not surprising their views haven't changed.

A lot if it comes down to the character you are making. Are they wealthy? Are they athletic? What's their career? What kind of environment do they live in? What culture do they cone from? There's lots if things you can take into account when making a character's design.

Other than looking up reference for different fashion and hairstyles, I also have several artbooks from games or animated movies/shows I enjoy, it's interesting to see the design choices explained by the artists.
