I'm really glad to hear that people are vibing with the themes & tropes of my debut novel cause I wasn't expecting much but to hear people say that they love slow burn & friends to lovers & that my story sounds awesome really is a big motivator for me to keep going and get this story published!

good evening "freydΓs moon" is using the blurb i wrote for their anthology and officially retracted after learning they are, in fact, a serial catfisher, race-fisher, and bully. the blurb was not written for this book (which i have never read) and they do not have my permission to use it.
I swear my brain is still in holiday mode. It doesn't wanna revise my story at all this month π€£π
This is what I'm worried about is my debut novel not doing well so it doesn't get a series π thankfully it can work as a standalone just fine but I love the story so much that I would like to make it into a series and explore more of the story

If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be able to write in the science fiction genre cause she was the first black woman to write in that genre and her works have been heavily influential in pop culture, the literary world and science fiction π₯Ίπ«

Fam I GOT YOU! ππΎ the slow burn romance in my story is one that I'm super proud of~ π₯° like I don't even like the friends to lovers trope but I love MY friends to lovers π€£
I'm starting to dislike seeing other writers telling the rest of us what we should and shouldn't do when it comes to writing. We ALL write differently so what works for you might not work for a handful of others and we shouldn't force people to write something they don't feel comfortable writing
when you're writing a book and you're trying to remember which character knows what information LOL π© I might have to start making notes in my notion about what character knows what info from what chapter cause I keep having to go back and skim my chapters just to make sure I'm not wrong π€£
That's really exciting! I don't think I'll ever be able to write an actual short story cause no matter how short the story ends, the word count always ends up being too long cause I like to have big world building π€£
Just came up with some additional dialog for a scene in ch. 4 with my two characters today for proj. stardust and I'm over here giggling and kicking my feet at how cute the scene is π€ I can't wait to sit and write it out. I love these mfs so freaking much LOL π€£

I swear taking a month off from writing my story really helps more than I thought cause I've been able to look at my story more from a reader lens than a writer lens and I've been catching plot holes and missing dialog that I didn't catch when I was writing the first draft πππΎ
Thinking about it, proj. stardust is legit my comfort book~ π₯Ί Like I love this book so much and whenever I think about it, I feel so comforted by the story and the characters and I really hope that when it gets published one day, other people get to have this same feeling as me~
