i absolutely think the transgender liberalism that is espoused by people like judith butler has harmed us. the "identify-as" framework epistemologically erases us as a discriminated minority group with unique needs. they're illegalizing us and saying we can "simply choose not identify as trans".

Thank you for writing and publishing this! It's so frustrating to see a show that has caused so much harm to my community to be praised for finally criticizing someone in power instead of mocking vulnerable minorities.

Straight trans women are some of the most vulnerable members of the queer community. We can be rejected by queers AND cishets. We often end up desperate for support and validation. Cishet men are more likely see this vulnerability as an opportunity rather than something to protect. I just got lucky.

Its a lot less funny when you understand the intent is kill trans children. They don’t give a fuck about men with long hair and wont enforce it that way, what they care about is making trans lives unlivable.

There is every reason in the world to be for trans inclusion in sports, but one of the most vital reasons is every single young person should be free to engage in sports with their friends and peers, and should never be singled out, excluded, ostracized, or otherwise made to feel other or aberrant.

This has been my experience. Anecdotally, a previous partner was fine with being perceived as gay and would pressure me to dress boyish in public but was embarrassed to be seen with me if I looked too trans. Obviously it didn’t last long. The stigma is real
