Have been shown a few videos on youtube from Parliamentarian lately. The comments are full of crap like that and the replies patting each other on the back for being so right.

Just been watching this. I presume it is based on Iranian intel/propaganda. Has a British base in Cyprus been hit? www.youtube.com/watch?v=wo7e...
No, 156 more votes than the next candidate. That's probably what you saw.
243 vote for reform out of 539 cast with 26% turnout.
Nationally it looks like 30% fit the 'profile' for Reform voters so it appears that Reform managed to get 40% of their base to turn out.
Interesting as I'd expect Reform voters to be the most motivated.
I wonder if in a GE on only 40% turnout.
"Sandy Buchanan, was elected with 243 votes" ๐

It's unlikely anything we do in the next couple of weeks will make a long term difference. Best waiting to see where Trump flits to next week and see where things are heading. Everything is volatile at the moment and nobody's plans are clear.
Certainly don't commit to anything.
Does it really matter if they can't spend it?
It seems more like a plan in motion rather than an open ended change in policy.
How can oil go to $200 per barrel? They must be planning on disrupting a lot more supply.
Is this related to Orban and Hungary?
Surely that will be Vote Green, Get Labour - if it applies to Vote Reform get Conservative.
If putting a badger on a fiver is the definition of woke then 5 years in the slammer for feeding pigeons must be the opposite of woke.
Do you get the feeling the Tories and Reform constantly try to outdo each other with increasingly more absurd stories.
Private Eye response to the media's faux outrage about Mandelson's appointment as our Ambassador to the US
A fellow poster just responded to a plea from James O'Brien with this little gem, the media's faux outrage, pearl clutching in all its glory.
And Jenrick manages to get it wrong again.
I remember thinking the Watchman was amazing (a handheld crt).
From the tweet above I can see the documentary is going to make Starmer slightly less popular.
Pure coincidence.
The press who sowed the seeds of public dissatisfaction are writing a documentary about how unpopular the PM is and why we should all be dissatisfied with him.
To be fair, Farage has been constantly Islamaphobic.
But yeah, if it suited it would easily be "except for Iran".
Diesel at ยฃ1.68 !
Farage got his headline but I can't see him selling much fuel at that price.
I'd guess Reform had a job finding an independent station that would let them get the headline. And also, if your petrol is expensive and you knock 5p off then you still won't sell much so the headline was quite cheap.
Must admit, I thought the Greens mostly voted against Labour.
The Tories oversaw the degradation of UK gas storage capacity - 2010 to 2017.
Thatcher privatised the gas and oil industry - 1982 to 1986.
Thatcher closed the collieries - 1986 to 1991.
This woman is an idiot - 1960 to 2026

What is good is that a lot of don't knows are making their minds up.
These were posted within minutes of each other. So which one is it? Is it over or is there no end in sight?? Our msm is a clusterfuck. Guess Iโll check the news in another country to find out what is happening here.
Yeah, the press have been working on that for a long time.
They don't need facts or coherence. They can just say whatever soundbite they like for that day and find another one for tomorrow.
Farage is pro-Trump but Badenoch is just the opposite of whatever Starmer does.
I think it's more about the cost of petrol than the cost of electricity. I'd happily switch my car to electric but it's worth ยฃ1200 and there nothing I can do for that price.
In 10 years things will be different but it's not a government thing, it's private investment.
Badenoch has a simple equation - more bombs make the 'war' end faster making oil cheaper again.
Oh, and say anything the public will like but don't do a single calculation just say it for political points.
