Seems like the more jaded we get the more you hear the refrain "the internet was a mistake."
I don't think that's true, but "Algorithm driven social media was a mistake." doesn't exactly roll off the tongue to be fair.

THIS! It seems more and more clear that the crux of engagement for all forms of media is just driving outrage and divisive opinions just to desperately cling to people's short attention spans and it is just. so. fucking. disheartening.
I hope we get back to making things people enjoy again.
If you've got some time you should give this article a read, it's a really interesting look at the challenges that AI poses on the hiring and recruitment process.

Me too, I love all the astron 6 guys stuff!
Apart from the obviously grotesque argument he's making, can we just take a moment to acknowledge what an incredibly fucking dull podcast this is? I was worried I would pass out listening to this and end up having nightmares about being lectured by racist morons.
There's also a recent remake by an awesome Toronto filmmaker Steven Kostanski that is supposed to be an absolute blast.
Just want you to know that when I asked Geoff why he gave the silent treatment to an open letter written by his own "future of games" program (& co-signed by 3000+ industry peers), he replied:
"Because that's my show and nobody gets to tell me how I should use my platform". πππ
Call it: asses or asses
virtue signalling is good actually
I think it really speaks to the intelligence of the average voter in the US that despite inflation/affordability being a key issue so many voted for trump despite his key policies being ones that would very obviously make that issue worse:

And here I was thinking the legal system had advanced since 1794. Silly me.
Macingand beating someone is an interesting way of 'annoying someone back'...
Call me old fashioned but I'd always thought of that as assault and battery.
Folks, saying ABOLISH ICE isn't hard. Quite easy. The water is warm here. Jump in. Mainstream it. People will follow.
I'm gonna reserve my righteous indignation until after the dust settles on this. At the end of the day what matters is what Canada's trade relationship is, not the optics of how our PM looked while dealing with the toddler on chief.
I knew it would take less than a day for a tiktok dj to make something.
It's true, they're perfect for each other. I hope they disappear from public life forever so we never have to think about either of them again.
I should point out, I'm very much in agreement that ending the genocide in Gaza should be a priority at every level. I was only pointing to the fact that even the most tepid of acknowledgements from leaders results in these kinds of attacks from Zionist civic action groups and it's not ok.
She certainly doesn't deserve any praise for the late support, but she doesn't deserve to be harangued and told to resign for it either.
I think what you guys could really use is better civil protections and urban planning and safety, but you are in America after all so I guess having a nice distraction is probably the best you should expect.
My only solace is that when Ohtani is done their franchise is going to be basically paying half their salary to a guy that's retired for many many years. If there's any kind of karmic justice the franchise will be awful for a lifetime afterwards.
It really sucks to think that the Dodgers are likely going to be in this position many times over the next 8 or so years since they've basically ensured they can stack their lineup while still having the most expensive player on their baseball team.
What an incredibly hypocritical thing to respond with. You reply with sentiment about people devastated by tragedy that are buoyed by the franchise and then turn around and say "it's just sports, it's just fun." Give me a break.
What a gutless response.
Good night.
Sorry not really aware of his background, just responding as a Canadian who (as many do) bristles at the thought of our sovereignty being joked about when it comes to America.
Right, my mistake. I had recalled that had happened earlier for whatever reason but that's true.
Fuck. Right. Off. You're going to try and flaunt people's misfortune as some kind of entitlement to your team winning?! You're gross. Do you even have a fucking clue about Toronto or Canada or what pains we've experienced? Congrats on your win, that you somehow feel you 'deserve'.
I can't think of a more entitled attitude than "man it's been a tough year, we really needed a world series." π
Seriously! None of us asked for this association with that dude and there's a laundry list of other things we could be known for.
Oh also canada as a country has been enduring a trade war thanks to your mad tyrant of a president but sure, I guess LA deserves it more even though they get there pretty much every other year.
