It’s different now. Fans are critical, but more importantly the drivers. They are saying the same thing that I am. So there’s that…but you go on and defend the widely unpopular changes if you must. Wait and see, changes will be made because it is a problem.

Pushing a button to jet past another driver, only to run out of battery and have them effortlessly take the position back gives far less meaning to the ‘number of overtakes’.

I’m an F1 fan, and know a lot about the sport and how races run. I expected that it would be all about BP and his romantic interests combined with unrealistic race sequences. So that’s what I got. But the racing part was even more out to lunch than I expected..
For those thinking all is well while looking only at the number of passes this season compared top 2025, this article does a good job presenting the concerns of the drivers.

At least the cars were driven flat out. Now they slow themselves according to programming to harvest power, and the drivers are to a large extent at the mercy of the mapping the team has set up. Time will tell I suppose, but the last 1/3 of the Aussie race was pretty boring. IMO
Meh…1st half was interesting…last half was a sleeper.

Yeah, that spin says nothing about Max, but speaks volumes about the car.
There is no saving a rear-end electro/mechanical failure entering a turn at that speed. Not even for Max - he was just a passenger at that point.
As a 60 year old who just recently starting riding again thanks in no small part to my e-bike, I have mixed feelings about this.

The UCP is blaming the huge municipal tax increase on Albertans asking for more schools and more supports. The part they aren’t saying out loud is how much is funnelled to charter and private schools. Our public tax dollars should NOT be used in this way. Where is the outrage!?
