I set a goal to take, process, and post a photo each day of advent. Today I did not make it outside while there was still sun; this photo was taken yesterday and I found time to process it today.
As the sun heated up the frost turned to dew, a few minute period of mist rose from behind the trees. Sometimes it's about being in the right place and the right time, if even by sheer luck.
Advent Art Day 2: The sun had risen a couple hours earlier, but had just cleared the peak of the mountain to backlight the moss covered trees. #adventartcalendar #adventchallenge2024 #landscapephotography #naturephotography #pnwwonderland
This will be my new atomic habit (at least for the next 23 days): take and publish a photograph. I cannot promise they will all be of nature and landscapes (heck I can't even promise I'll complete this task), but I'm going to give it my all.
I've had lots of distractions over the last months that have taken me away from experiencing nature and making art. While they were important distractions, some caused me stress, & more than one was self induced.
Day 1: Advent Photography. Taken this morning, the frost outlining the fern leaves caught my attention. I've set a goal for myself: to take a publish a photo each day of December 1 to 24. #adventphotoproject2024 #naturephotography #ferns #moss #frost

Maidenhair fern growing out of a rock overhang, with a small water stream emerging out of the rock overhang behind it.
G'day friends! Found this little scene not far from home here in the Central Cascades. Autumn brings different looks, here in the temperate rainforest that is the west side of the Cascade Mountains, it brings new ferns. Maidenhair fern. #naturephotography #ferns #pnwonderland
I love the depth and color in this photograph!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the share!
Hi Bsky! Here in the PNW we are getting ready for our first bomb cyclone of the year. I took this photo a couple years back, as a bomb cyclone was coming inland. #naturephotography #landscapephotograph #pnwonderland #pnw #waterfalls #washingtonstate
