No matter how gross the art is, itβs not CSAM. I know itβs vile. I know your want everyone to know how gross the person who made it is.
But when you intentionally mix up these terms you harm actual children by diverting attention and resources away from material that exploits them.
Once again begging people to stop using the term CSAM to refer to content that does not include images of real children or their likenesses.
The whole reason we have that term is to identify content that features actual children so the appropriate steps can be taken.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

listen i love ao3 as much as the next guy but ive seen people quit fic writing over the past few years because people comment and engage with authors way less, and then everyone still freaks out when ao3 goes down- if a fic is irreplaceable to u, let the author know!
