I've been a vegetarian/almost vegan for 10 years now. I personally don't miss meat, but I do miss fish + seafood. I don't think those cravings will ever go away.

The kid was maybe 8 btw. I'd have been too afraid to ask someone for directions at all at that age. The fact that he got treated like a moron just because he didn't phrase the question "correctly" is so fucking mean.

I'm not shocked at all, but it's such tarpit boomer behaviour. That store owner just made a kid feel dumb on purpose because he wanted to teach the kid a lesson he was too panicked to understand anyway. All the kid got from that is that adults are mean and untrustworthy. I'm glad I caught up to him.

Extremely panicked kid ran into a store after me. He hurriedly asked the owner for directions. The owner was upset that he wasn't being addressed politely, so cracked a few jokes at the kid's expense + answered in the vaguest way possible.

I ran after the kid to send him in the right direction.

Going to get an ultrasound next week because the friend that came to the GP with me insisted I'd get a referral. Also got new meds which should fix any lingering infections in my stomach. So, that's progress, hopefully!
