It is time that the UK modernised its electoral system. FPTP is no longer suitable, if it ever was.

Approx 75% of US gold production is from Carlin-type deposits, where a substantial portion of the gold is "invisible"βmeaning it is locked within the crystalline structure of pyrite or as nanoparticles, rather than occurring as visible flakes or nuggets. Gold in Nevada was Fool's Pyrite!
I'm just surprised Trump didn't call it Bejam. What a demented individual.
I have had refunds the last few years and they generally take 2 weeks from submitting my self assessment online.

This is pretty much the only post anyone should need to understand that Farage is a traitor, a conman and a populist simpleton who must *never* be given power.

X post by Rep. Ann Paulina Luna (tick)
I see that X/Twitter has expertly placed the tick after Representative Luna's last name. She should have kept her maiden name, or refrain from posting such nonsense.
I first commented on Trumps' desire to have Greenland in 2019 in one of my lectures on the geology of REE and the politics of China having effective control of supply. I guess the difference now is that he may no longer see the need to buy Greenland.
Greenland also has large critical mineral resources including REE (rare earth elements).
See electoral-reform.org.uk/does-proport.... FPTP gives leaders like Boris Johnson who thinks he got all the "big calls" right. I am a Labour member but think the current majority from 33.7% is wrong.
I didn't say it would be a success. I posted because I favour #PR as a better way of choosing elected representatives. #FPTP has given Labour 63% of the seats on 33.7% of the vote. The thought of another big majority government elected on a minority vote, running the UK like it runs Kent scares me.
We need #PR. The right very rarely gets the majority of the vote in the UK. It relies on the non-right majority being split across multiple parties. PR could finish them (I hope).
Is that the Jeremy Hunt who forgot that he owned seven luxury flats? www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...
You should post pics like that on Fridays under the tag #FensterFreitag. I can see snow on the Welsh hills, but thankfully none here in Liverpool.

And business confidence is at a 9 year high, while the FTSE100 is at an all time high.
Also, business confidence is apparently at a 9 year high. What is going on?
On BBC Breakfast this morning, after a long run of case studies of the negative impact on business, the reporter did slip in the fact that total employment is up. Sky News is about to cover unemployment up. There must be more people in the potential workforce for both to be up.
I don't think there is a charitable explanation, though the #FT is surprising.
Why have the #Times, #DailyTelegraph and #FinancialTimes changed #RachelReeves suit colour from pale green to pale blue on their front pages? Is this their less than subtle way of pushing #Reform? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
This is a clear cut coordination policy intended to force independent institutions into loyalty with the regime. It is obviously the behaviour of an authoritarian state and anyone who claims otherwise needs their fucking head examined www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
