You can watch my 10 p.m. report from today's Sun Bowl here. Louisville found a way to pull out a close win, get Jeff Brohm his first bowl victory as the program's head coach and saw backup QB Harrison Bailey take advantage of his opportunity.
friendly reminder that Louisville maxed out at 9 wins with Lamar fucking Jackson.
We can all *want* more but itβs unrealistic to expect it. Hopefully Jeff can take them to the next step though. 19 wins in two years is at least leaning that way.
If you want a longer look at Louisville's Sun Bowl victory from my lens, here is about five good minutes of footage. Yes, Tony the Tiger makes quite a few appearances.
How will #Louisvilleβs matchup against Washington in the Sun Bowl pan out? Thanks to #CFB25, we have some idea:

Chucky Hepburn credits Peyton Siva for helping mentor him so far this year. Says it's a big benefit to have him on the staff.
Chucky Hepburn after praising Myles Rice as a really good guard: "It's time for me to put my name up there too. I'm one of the best point guards in the country as well, and I'm going to start playing like it every game and taking that approach every practice."
That was Louisville's first win over an AP-ranked team since they beat Virginia Tech on January 6, 2021. Surely everyone remembers that win over anything else that might have happened that day.
Itβs beenβ¦four years since Louisville legitimately bullied a good team? They have completely unraveled Indiana.
89-61 Louisville over #14 Indiana!

89-61, Louisville hammers #14 Indiana in the Bahamas. Pat Kelsey gets the first bona fide win of his tenure. Just what the doctor ordered for Louisville folks. Incredibly encouraging to see them do this to a team with a clear advantage down low.
Iβve missed this so fucking much

#Louisville had a sloppy night on the offensive end, but made up for it with a stifling effort on defense, using that to hold off a pesky Winthrop.
Cards win 76-61.
The turnovers and rebounding.
Lots of work to do for sure but I like this team's mentality.
I believe when you are focused on areas of improvement defense, rebounding you usual suffer in other areas via turnovers and offensive flow. But I agree turnovers need to be addressed and I thought there was a different intensity shown by multiple players to attack the backboard.
Two areas that concerned me pregame they worked hard to improve defense and rebounding.
