Part of the problem, I assume, is that Epic (as a company) and Fortnite (as a game, and as a platform) is going to embrace AI and AI itself is one of the reasons Fortnite is more expensive to run. That's a tough message to explain to people. It also explains why you might not even try.

a re-do on the vision cone system that works with physics raycast vision to create dynamic fan geometry+mixed w/shader. Seems to create some decently occluded results with environment walls. can't have that stuff render clipping.
preferring this over render targets/lightproj based techniques
