Back to Fratton tomorrow with my boy. No matter what, I always look forward to seeing the old girl π«Ά
Hope so mate. Only fair. Iβve praised them before on Twitter.
We might not be great, but theyβre always around to cheer us up.
49 year trophy diet and the worst Premier League team of all time π
Yeah iβd love it if we could sort something for Abu in the summer. He looks miserable up there in all the clips iβve seen of him (understandable as it is Hull afterallβ¦)
Hopefully mate. Just felt like a bit of a missed opportunity in the Milton end. I know theres plans for the North stand in the future maybe one day. Revenue wise we would need a lot from a new North stand (hospitality/corporate wise) if we dont do much else to the other stands. Again, fingers crossed
Definitely not getting at that or overspending again mate. Or taking loans from owners etc. I just dont know why they would have bothered over the past few years to not give us a better chance now weβre here.
Hopefully they do, hopefully this new Aussie lad is the second coming too π€
Like you said mate, we both want the same thing. Hopefully weβll be celebrating at the end of the season with a pint and looking forward to more torture π
Last point mate⦠wrexham have signed A LOT of players on high wages. Paul Mullin is a League 1 player they got into the conference just for one. They spent money on better players and it worked. Definitely not saying we need to go to that extreme and break the bank at all.
I agree, they arent bad owners Im not having a pop at them. But even the work theyβve done, personally, iβve found it SLIGHTLY underwhelming (i.e. the Milton end)
I hope JM/RH get what they feel they need, but to stay in the championship you need more championship players which will cost a bit
To be in the conversation with those players and given an opportunity to sell the club, the management, coaches etc you do need to be in the financial ball park too.
The 2 lowest budgets in the league are us and Plymouth mate and that tells a storyβ¦
Questioning them is fine, like I said iβm reserving jusgement. It would be weirder to not question somethings. Theyβre steady and we wonβt get into trouble with them, but at some point we will have to spend money wonβt we?
The Rashford example just doesnβt fit.>
In this league they do cost money. Otherwise theyβll more than likely just go to whoever is offering the money.
I hope we utilise whatever is left over from the Robertson fee and i hope even more that Mous gets the tools he feels he needs to give us a good chance of staying up
Quality signings do cost money though. If you donβt offer the same or better as other teams thereβs a pretty good chance they go to Cardiff, Hull, QPR etc
Money is probably the biggest factor in a signing. We have to play the same game as every team around us (maybe even more so that others) ππΌ
If we had that money ready for Robertson, it should still be available now. Like I said mate, holding off on judgement until Feb. Our summer business was under whelming and caused ourselves issues imo.
Plenty of signings in the teams around us so there must be some appeal too.
However, this league requires investment in transfer fees or wages or both - it just does. Failure to give Mous/RH the tools to stay up will make me question why theyβve bothered over the past 5/6/7 years.
Give Mousinho the tools, and i do believe he can keep us up. But he isnβt a miracle worker π΅
Using this transfer window as a bit of a measurement of the Eisnerβs. Always found them to be steady, but relatively unspectacular. Always found, even with the investment in FP, could it have been better? #Pompey >
Got to be some sort of review into these. I think weβve been unlucky, donβt get me wrong, but there must be something thats being overlooked
Think Haydenβs potentially an excellent signing #Pompey
Definitely ticks a box for us. Good to have more competition and a bit of presence in there
Newcastle look a proper team. What a player Isak is
Loved him as a player. That kit too π
The social experiment football club continuesβ¦
