I suspect some people who supported Warren were also turned off by the snake emojis that were tossed at her online for DARING to call out his misogynist comment about women not being able to win (which, maybe he's right, but it's a dick thing to say).

Yeah, weird how posting super homophobic shit about Buttigieg didn't translate into his supporters rushing to Bernie.

The New Deal didn't accomplish everything people think it did, either. I mean, hence Medicare...

Mostly, I think, because our society is set up to coddle white people so they can get away with being manchildren/childwomen for a long-ass time and asking them to accept responsibility for themselves is akin to abuse in their eyes.

I remember Cenk Uygur sneering Obama was like a cautious quarterback who only went for first downs instead of touchdowns. I know NOTHING about football but even I know what a dumbass flawed analogy THAT is. The bad quarterback is the one who throws Hail Marys all the time.

They ALSO need a single superhero-esque figure to "save" them, which is why they fall for demagogic "I"m a FIGHTER! I can fix this!" rhetoric over and fucking over again.

Sir,

White America could have stopped this mess after the Civil Rights Act and the Voters Right Act were passed.

And let America become the Melting Pot it was meant to become..

...instead of crawling on all fours for White Supremacy over democracy.

It's also proof that a lot of his support was from political neophytes who literally couldn't remember the 2008 crowded field that narrowed down first to Obama, Edwards, and Clinton, and then just Obama and Clinton. Not all of the people who dropped out endorsed, but some did, IIRC.

I mean, they should have figured out how to win with a majority, not a plurality. If his policies were as incredibly popular as they claim, it shouldn't have been a problem. Remember: YOU CAN'T BLAME THE VOTERS!!!

11.03.2026 18:49 πŸ‘ 2 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

His supporters hate that Dem candidates who drop out are allowed to endorse candidates that they feel would be the best options. In fact, candidates dropping out at all is proof of RIGGING! Because that never happens once people realize they can't win.

Illinois universities roll back DEI initiatives amid Trump attacks The UI system and Northwestern agreed to scrap programs meant to uplift students and faculty from marginalized backgrounds.

@dmbrown-tboy.bsky.social did a terrific piece for @chicagoreader.com on what rolling back DEI initiatives has done to area universities. chicagoreader.com/news/feature...

This situation forced me to vote strategically to keep someone out. I'm not UNhappy with who I voted for, but in different circumstances, they wouldn't have been my first choice. But I'm not risking having our version of Sinema go to DC.

Dem nominee faces bipartisan calls to quit over racist, misogynistic social media posts Va. Dem candidate Sef Casim faces bipartisan pressure to drop out after old posts using racial slurs and misogynistic language surfaced online.

Y’all want to see a cautionary tale of exactly what Black Folks have been trying to warn y’all of for years?

This guy Sef Casim ran as a young progressive candidate against a BW and all the usual suspects lined up behind him.

After he won the caucus/primary a bunch

The tell in this piece to me is her denying she has ever even HEARD of Old Towne Media? Really, Jane? Your husband is basically their only client, the registered agents are friends and associates of yours, people in the campaign always pointed out that you were the go-to on media strategy? Sure.

Small wonder that they think a Tik Tok "influencer" is the best progressive option over actual public servants who have delivered on progressive goals.

And the increasing inability of people to assess primary sources is also scary.

Interesting to see that number for women. I wonder if dissing a very successful progressive woman as your opening gambit somehow didn't sit well with women.

I remember getting into it with someone in Gen Z who assured me that Al Gore wasn't really an environmentalist until after he left office and I was all "OH REALLY FUCKWIT? Is that why Earth in the Balance was a fucking NYT Bestseller in the early 90s?"

Because you sickos love this, here's the updated flip count in legislative seats since the start of Trump's second term, following tonight's Dem win in New Hampshire:

Democrats: 28

Republicans: 0

I mean, I'm a grown-up. By the time I'm filling out my ballot, please assume I've done due diligence and I don't need Chad who had his first poli sci class this semester to lecture me about the evils of the oligarchy before I can do that.

Also loved pointing out to the "populists" that caucuses are about as anti-democratic and UNfriendly to working class folks as you can imagine. But Bernie loved 'em because they generally worked well for him.
