I think you just described it quite accurately. She speaks to certain beliefs very well and gets people to fall in love with her. When she’s talking about beliefs, I’m like “He’ll yeah!”

But then she encourages people not to vote or to vote for someone who can’t possibly win.

Sometimes they are propagandists like Caitlin Johnstone. She poses as a leftist to win followers and then, once she gets people bought in, she gives them bad advice. Or sometimes these folks follow someone like a Caitlin Johnstone. The propaganda "feels good" but is counterproductive.
