A call to the true awareness and communal support re. increasing accessibility for those who are unable to travel for research purposes 🙏
Those who, for whichever reason, are unable to be there physically, do not. To increase accessibility, it would be great for in-person attendees to understand the constraints that online participants might face - before, during and after the panel.
When presentations run long, in-person attendees have the chance to engage in further discussions with one another and with those present.
It is a privilege to be able to attend conferences in person. Many circumstances arise for this to be impossible: health issues, financial constraints, being disability connections etc.
