Agree, Trump needs Hormuz open soon but Iran has lots of ways to keep it shut; US could end up trying a (partial) ground invasion to control it (shades of Suez '56).
Other _possible_ US escalations could be allying with Kurds or Azeris to grab a chunk of territory, or making nuclear threats.

A green Lamborghini Useless, sorry Urus, front three-quarters view, parked in a car park with a grey Fiat 500 and a glass fronted building behind.
Lamborghini Urus. It's not just that it's an SUV, it's a by-the-numbers VAG platform SUV.

Airplane mode means not transmitting signals (which might interfere with the plane's avionice). GPS is purely passive, you simply listen to the signal from the satellite and can derive lat and long from that.

Of course, that was followed by a war in the Middle East and a recession, leading to customers wanting their money back.
Luckily there's no danger of that happening nowadays...

Sounds like a caching issue to me. Either that or it's PostOffice-grade coding, but caching is the simplest way to totally screw up like this.

For sure, AC should be easier to provide, almost a 'why not' facility.
My point is, a world without AC charging is a world where only those with driveways can own EVs.
A world without DC charging is one where EVs need a ~600 mile range to cover a whole day's driving in one hit.

If you have a driveway, you only *need* DC fast chargers; destination charging is a nice-to-have but it's not a deal breaker to make an extra fast-charge en route.
The ppl who *need* widespread AC chargers are those who can't charge at home, so need affordable, available charging on their doorsteps.

Ikarus 692 Airport Bus -- basically a bus with a front end that elevates to become an enclosed staircase to the plane
Ikarus 695, i think
unsure what the model number is, but the entire front of the bus opens up and a staircase extends out of it.
just learned about these (prototype?) airport buses from the 80s, i believe all from the Serbian (then Yugoslavian) company Ikarus

Screenshot from the 'snap.eurostar.com' site showing the time blocks as '07:56 - 14:00' and '14:00 to 20:56'
Part of the API response showing the exact timings: departing Brussels at 07:56, arriving London at 08:57
Another part of the API response showing the planned train for the later timeslot.
Essentially, they make you pick one of two VERY broad time blocks - up to 7 hours. But surely, they'll put you on whatever train has the most empty seats and set the fare based on the number of unsold seats? And yes, it turns out that their API shows the exact train already π (2/2)

ISTR hearing about in Japan the fire brigade visit the schools and actually set up fires and have the kids practice using an extinguisher to put them out. Which would seem more likely to hold their attention, and stick in their minds, than just a lecture.

Tomorrow Wes Streeting will remove trans minors ability to access, and doctors to prescribe, cross-sex hormones.
Try as it might Labour will never eradicate trans people. They cannot, and should not, change who they are. All Labour will do is make trans lives harder - with more harm and more death.

His stance reminds me of environmentalists in the 70s-90s who rightly raised the alarm on global warming, but as soon as you said "so, we should immediately build lots of nuclear power stations, right?" would demur. Right about the problem but unwilling to accept the solution.

If you really believe the UK should decouple from the US, you need to be willing to fund the re-armament necessary to (a) stand on our own two feet (b) defend E Europe if needed (c) support Ukraine.
But Lefties like this rarely want to face the logical consequences of what they advocate.
