Starter packs are genius, but I was surprised there wasn't a list of them for people to find.
So I built it:
blueskydirectory.com/starter-pack...
The website monitors the packs being shared and adds the ones it finds to the database.
Missed your stater pack? Message me and I'll get it added.
Watched a presentation of survey results after having just finished Bourdieu's Distinction which is highly critical of traditional survey analysis.
My interest dropped after I heard one of the first data points.
"...and who invest their revolt the worsening of their social position in moral indignation against the worsening of morals."
More gems from Bourdieu/Nice from 1979: "Resentment is clearly the basis of the reactionary or conservative revolutionary stances of the declinig petit bourgeois whoa re anxious to maintin order on all fronts, in domestic morality and in society, ...
"Being authoritarian by nature, the working classes can consciously espouse authoritatrian ideologies, because their intolerance inclines them to a simplistic, Manichean view of politics, they expect an improvement in their conditions to come only through sudden, dramatic changes."
Reading Bourdieu and Nice's Distinction. Back in 1979, they wrote this: "Lipset bases his optimistic account of American democracy on a similar observation. 'Liberal and leftist' on economic matters, the working class are more 'authoritarian' when liberalism is defined in non-economic matters.."

Reading Distinction for class now. I want to read it again after class for #hugot. I alao want to reread Standing and Kallebeeg for political analysis
You classify yourself based on the ease with which you can read Bourdieu hehe Rough riding through some theoretical parts but Fr Danny's class prepped me enough
Currently reading Bourdieu's Distinction. Been meaning to read this for a long time. Assigned it in class so now I'm forced to read :)
One advantage of studying full time and abroad is that you're pretty much concentrated on studying. Studying in the Philippines usually means studying part-time with full time work and family too. Really barely enough time to read. Only read what needs reporting :)
