not really true I have been on campaigns that have out canvassed their opponent but could not win due to circumstances outside the campaigns control IE, being an old white man after the bad Biden debate or an unexpected uninformed primary voter surge, like in the most recent Texas primary.

my belief is a campaign can only do 3 three things most of the time, stop a candidate support from collapsing, take advantage of opportunities, and win close elections. I don't think a campaign can beat the whims of fate or the voters
