It must be so nice to be a weather reporter... you can be so utterly terrible at your job yet no one ever questions you.

I swear by all that is good... SOMEONE SOMEWHERE IN TORONTO (or K/W or somewhere in between) SELLS KENTUCKY WILDCAT MERCH, AND I'M NOT STOPPING UNTIL I FIND IT.
Canada men's curling in a good spot - 5-1 and in second place... (stop touching the rocks though!)
Ah, yes, a photo finish to decide 46th and 47th.

It's a silver medal for the Canadian mixed relay in short track speed skating! Last place halfway through the final and came back!

Why does Claire Hanna look like she'd tower over me...
[looks up her height]
... yup.

Literally.
Any tweets I make on #MilanoCortina2026 will be on my main account (this one) for all sports EXCEPT HOCKEY.
For my hockey updates, please follow my account for international hockey tweets @nicktheiihffan.bsky.social ! (I always feel weird tagging myself)
I also remember when we were first being taught how to type (grade 5?), my lessons had capital letters and periods while I looked over and my classmates were only getting home row words. I was wondering why my lessons looked so much harder... turns out I had picked the harder lesson first.
My elementary school computer keyboards had bumps in the middle of the D and K keys (where the middle fingers go) instead of those lines. Not sure why.
Please note: I will not have the relegation game this morning but will return for the semifinals this afternoon.

Loyalty doesn't mean anything anymore, does it?
"I'm well diversed with flags so I can tell you that this [points to flag of Denmark] is the flag of Austria"
As someone who delves a lot into IIHF hockey (and thus sees a ton of flags all the time), a part of me just died inside.

It's 2026. Why do we not have weather models that can forecast with ONE HUNDRED PERCENT accuracy?!
TSN, if you're only going to air 2 quarterfinals, CAN-FIN will obviously be one, but if I had to pick one of the other three, I'd rather you aired SWE-SVK or CZE-SUI than USA-HUN.

Aren't you the one who tore down NAFTA in favour of this deal?
I've long since realized I'm a "let's walk around and explore before we board" in a family of "let's just sit and wait at the gate".
It's not like I randomly picked this team; I do have quite the backstory behind it.
"You joined just as Calipari was about to hit his peak years! That's the DEFINITION of bandwagon!"
And? I was still here throughout Calipari's rough final years, and I'm still here through the rough start to this year under Pope.
To clarify - this is not a cry for merch. Y'all have sent me tons already and I'm grateful for every single thing I've gotten. And without you, my collection is all of 3 shirts.
I just can't handle the lack of availability anymore when all these other teams have stuff available.
I'm not going to toss my UK stuff in the trash and convert to being a fan of another team just because their merch is readily available. Or because they are closer to where I live.
Tired of saying I'm a Kentucky fan and hearing "oh, Kentucky Fried Chicken?" every time.
I'm just so tired of this.
Tired of being told what sports teams I should be a fan of based on where I live.
Tired of feeling like I have to mold my interests based on what "the majority" likes.
Tired of feeling like I constantly have to prove myself as a true fan.
After coming up empty again today, I was basically told to give up; "Kentucky just isn't popular where you live".
On its own I agree with that statement, but you cannot possibly convince me that there are 20+ other teams who surpass UK in NCAAB popularity where I live.
Now, if no team was available, I could understand that. But as you've noticed from my past tweets, every store I've been to that has had several other teams, including many SEC rivalries (most commonly Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Florida).
As you know, over the last couple of weeks, I have travelled to different corners of the city, checking out multiple stores in different malls, in search of expanding my UK merch collection.
I've come up empty every single time.
This rant has nothing to do with Mark Pope, the players, or any of UK's other sports teams.
This is solely about me as a fan (and my recent experiences).
Okay.
I need to go on a UK-related rant.
