When Things Were Rotten
Please do not share this interview with Rep. James Talarico by Stephen Colbert. It will piss off the chair of the FCC

Which areas? The way things are going, we could have a blockade around Cuba in the near future. In any case, I'm putting it on the bingo card. It's no more ridiculous than what's already happened.
What is Massecrusetts?
"SpaceX could be working toward getting the rocket off the ground in January." So here's a potential scenario: As it has done twice before, a SpaceX test rocket could blow up over the Caribbean and rain debris on the ground and sea below -- and this time, it could hit U.S. warships and warplanes.
I forgot to put sugar in my banana-blueberry bread a couple years back, was pleasantly surprised, and that's just the way I bake it now.
This has to be the most reckless thing Disney has ever done with their IP and I cannot wait for them to figure out what a bad idea this is.
Aaaaand there it is, folks: Trumpβs serious quo for FIFAβs silly quid.

I'm at a point where I would start paying a premium to any company or service that promises that AI has no part in it.
Puzzmo is fabulous. The moral argument is kinda lame, since Puzzmo is owned by Hearst, but I'm addicted to their puzzles.
You know what we won't need once handwriting recognition software has done its thing? Archivists, curators, conservators, catalogers, codicologists, or paleographers. We won't need archives either. We won't need diplomatics, editorial theory, book or media history, or material culture studies ποΈπ§΅
Double screenshot: On the left, Puzzmo Spelltower grid with a few letters already used. The word COSMOSPHERE is spelled out but is not accepted as a word. On the right, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary entry for cosmosphere.
It was *right there* -- but it's not a word in whatever dictionary @puzzmo.com uses, and I never recovered from the shock.
There's also a "Was this page helpful?" feedback poll at the bottom of the page. I checked "no," but I have no idea if they're even bothering to count the responses.
Google search for βdessert that sounds like a Greek letterβ β the result suggests βGalaktobourekoβ

The only move now is throw different foods and see what is legal and what's not. I feel like you can't throw a sizzling fajita plate.
New Nutribullet wouldn't work; I couldn't push the cup down to engage the motor. Luckily, some guy had made a video for exactly this problem: I had to lift out a ring sitting inside the cavity. Easiest fix ever. The ring isn't in the manual, has no apparent purpose, and looks like it belongs there.
This is probably just a coincidence: finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-mu...
Huh. Jon Stewart was just talking about electing a "vindictive prick" a couple months ago on The Weekly Show podcast. www.youtube.com/shorts/m3gPV...
Yes, it did. The last appearance (I'm told) was in 2021.
Would vote for this candidate

And yes, it is a word in American English dictionaries.
Two photos side by side. On the left, a screenshot showing a New York Times Spelling Bee game in which the word OCOTILLO is refused because it is not in the word list. On the right, a lovely ocotillo plant in front of a deep blue sky.
Not the world's most pressing problem, but still annoying: Spelling Bee continues to refuse to acknowledge El Paso's iconic plant.
DACA recipient Paulo Gamez Lira was apprehended Aug. 13 in his driveway as he was preparing to take his 3-month-old baby to the doctor. Three cars blocked him in and he was taken into custody by seven men in plainclothes, some masked and carrying weapons. He was held for 42 days.
Family friend of the Trumps. That's probably all you need to know.
Neighbor of ours was abducted by ICE. You can give to the gofundme for his wife and 3-year old daughter if you'd like.
Also I'm just trying to make a habit of saying out loud and with my real name, on platforms where I'm certainly being surveilled, that ICE can go fuck itself.

Mother, father, baby and animals -- items for a crèche / Nativity scene?
It reminds me of the time the Nobel committee said they couldn't give Bob Dylan his award because his location was unknown. He was at the Kiva in Albuquerque that night! All you had to do was google his tour dates. Hardly a secret.

I'd have thought your example sentence meant he didn't understand the interest in him. I'm American, but I'm rapidly aging.
