defending art's right to exist, especially nsfw art, inherenetly involves you having to allow art you don't like or even think is abhorrent or reprehensible to exist. you do not have to pretend to like it or engage with it, but you need to let it exist. you give fascists an inch they take a mile.

If hormones, or puberty blockers, were so dangerous, nobody would be allowed them.
That some people are and that trans kids can even, notionally at least, stay on them if already prescribed, tells you all you need to know.
It's very frustrating, because what is the danger supposed to be?
In theory, it's regret, because we know there are no serious harms, there are only changes that could feel like harms if the person isn't trans.
But in practice they can't find the regret.
The "danger" is that their trans child won't be too scared to say I'm trans.
That's why social contagion has a concept is so tightly held onto.
It allows them to pretend their child isn't really trans, and just confused.
It allows them to justify their hate and disgust.
