I watched it for the first time a couple weeks ago. I'd been aware of it for years, but never quite was in the mood to watch it.
It is a very good film indeed.

People need to know that their vote matters. If you vote for a cruel bigot who believes in pillaging everything and everyone he can, you should be treated as responsible for giving such a monster more power. Trump isn't just ruining the lives of Americans, but making the whole world worse. (fin)
Shortly after the Brexit vote I had a conversation with Charlie Stross where he laid out how the vote had passed. I value that conversation.
When I was in Scotland two years ago, I had a couple similar conversations in the opposite direction. . . (1/2)
A favorite from my neighborhood: "Someone just dumped an abandoned vehicle in our neighborhood!" posted within an hour of my best friend coming over to visit near Halloween, driving her Zombie jeep.
Lady, I get that you like wasting money on new vehicles, but Sabrina keeps hers running.
A coworker of mine discovered that she was actually the Mirror Universe version of herself while gestating her 3rd offspring.
Naturally I suggested she read "Doorways in the Sand" by Roger Zelazny, where the protagonist goes through a chirality flipping device.
My last 4 cats were adopted there. Very good shelter. Mercury and Boo are napping nearby, in fact.
mmm, eclipse
Think the epstein files prove that was projection.
Also gave me a great deal of practice making "certain point of view" statements that were always both entirely true and entirely false depending on frame of reference. And as all of my RP characters are aspects of me, she was easy to play. Wrote her own lines as it were.
Sprite was a fun character. Changeling has a flaw that is essentially turbo-adhd, which I naturally took. As mind reading is pretty common in whitewolf, I had storyteller permission to essentially stream of consciousness any time someone tried it on her.
Western Wood Ducks
Unsolicited duck pic. So flamboyant!
A display of Nutcrackers from the Nutcracker museum in Leavenworth Washington.
Would you kindly send that cold down to Oregon? I need a good laugh.
I dunno, I think the chirping at birds is the cutest thing. . .
Wonder if Jessica from arsTechnica is still writing.
Heh. One of my longest running characters (A pooka from Changeling) referred to herself exclusively in third person. I used first person when referring to my character. Drove the rest of the table nuts in the best way.
Ow. Hurts my eyes to look at.
My cats, looking catlike.
Mine has sprouted limbs and ears and whatnot. No intelligence detected, however, merely an endless hunger.
I identify as a dude, TYVM! (/s)
At my last hospitality job, I'd eat lunch in the walk in freezer. The rest of the staff found this HILARIOUS. It was a huge relief for me, as I run very hot, and -10f (-23c) is quite comfortable for me in a suit.
I was lucky, my HS had a good councilor's office (Not guidance councilor, but a mental health one. Her name was Cathy, and she is the only reason I am here today.) Said office had a couch, and Cathy was happy to let me chill there during lunch. More than once this ended up with a MH session.
A return to the classical roots!
Come now George, I have it on good authority that you LOVE sweaty basketball players!
I was introduced to that program at a point when lunch was not assured, and I spent any money I earned on books. My local pizza hut limited me as I was finishing more than a novel a day.
Pushing Newsom on anyone with trans friends, family members, or even just empathy towards trans folk is effectively saying "put your survival aside for the sake of the people that claim to have your back."
In a bout of good timing, My friend @rosieethor.bsky.social's latest anthology "Being Aro" just came out. I recommend it! Can be found at the usual places.
Watching your ye-152 vid with my best friend. She is deeply entertained and fascinated.
His fur has the consistency of a chinchilla. Short, but thick, dense, and soft. He is also full of mischief and squirming.
This is mercury. He is hoping to hypnotize birbs into flying into the window.
