I know what you mean - it's only when you move something, or see if through someone else's eyes, that you realise.

I need pictures!
Yep - it's all about the editing with writing, not about what initially goes on the page. 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration. But editing is easier than a blank page π
Labour is finished in Wales, green leader Zack Polanski says.
I'm in Cardiff.
And the energy for the Green Party right across Wales is so exciting.
We're making hope normal again.

Or I could go on World Anvil and start planning my world out instead... π
First I stared at the blank page, then I stopped trying to come up with a killer beginning, and just scribbled away for two hours that went very quickly. I have maybe the first third of a chapter? And maybe I'll not start with that (or even that character's POV), but I need to stop prevaricating!
Haven't quite submitted my assignment yet - probably tomorrow - but now it's time to actually start writing the novel, instead of just planning it!
Five cut-out-and-keep bookplates Each reads βex-librisβ then has a space for the owners name. The design reflects the genre: Sci-fi: Nanotechnology tracks the book, monitors its condition and summons a retrieval drone if necessary. Horror: An ancient curse creates feelings of unease, rising to apalling, abject horror unless the book is returned. Romance : Acts as an invite to the county's grandest ball, but revoked if not returned in a polite and timely manner. Crime: Tailed by a dishevelled Gumshoe who Seems cynical, but loves books more than dames and bourbon. Fantasy: A fellowship of heroes lead the borrower on an epic quest to return the tome to its Rightful shelf.

In a 30 min bombardment at Neuve Chapelle in 1915 the British Army expended more shells than they had in the entire Boer War
In one day each field gun fired 17 days worth of the UKβs factory output.
When the men & women who were there tell us how costly, futile & terrible war is, we should listen
Going anywhere nice?
I've just ordered one, and funnily enough, it said it was selling out of it!
New reports CONFIRM the US was responsible for killing an entire girls' school in Iran.
But that didn't stop Trumpβs biggest donor & co-founder of ChatGPT, signing a deal giving AI to the US military for mass surveillance + killing.
Be a shame if everyone found out and deleted their account x
Today's tea with husband. Son joined later.
Essay news: I think it's all ready to English up, and then I can submit it. As it's a plan of the next two assignments (a first draft of two chapters of a novel, and then a final draft) a lot rests on this tiny piece.
LOTS of writing in my future!
Illustration of a small fluffy creature that is half cat, half dragon, with black fur, tiny wings, breathing a small stream of fire. Above it, the text reads: βFluff up your courage, unleash your magic. Youβre a dragon, go breathe fire!β The background is a soft green sky fading into yellow grass, creating a playful and uplifting scene.
Wishing you a gentle day, sending you a little courage and reminding you that you might have more fire than you think ππββ¬π€

"Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of 'highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat' while increasing the power of working-class men."
Remind me again why Labour is shoving vast public contracts down its throat?

The sooner we build on clean, home-grown energy, the sooner we stop handing the keys to foreign gas markets. But we also need market reform now - so customers, not just corporations, actually reap the benefits of renewables.
