It can't be long before there's a breakaway movement of countries that start their own organisation and world championships. I suspect that if this year's finals turn out as we fear then it'll be happening very soon.

Before it came in, people mostly wanted it. It took about two uses before everyone realised it was a nightmare. They've fiddled and fiddled with it but it just gets worse. I agree - it's fine to get rid, stop de-skilling the officials, and go back to a ref, two linos and leave it at that.

When they start using it for corners, yellow cards, throw-ins, etc I feel certain that one day there will be a massive pitch invasion after the frustration over a 3 minute wait for a corner to be awarded builds to boiling point.
