The differences between the United States and Russian leadership are collapsing
Relegating serious conversations about important events to standing in a doorway on a plane says as much as the words do
The differences between the United States and Russia are collapsing
Hey US History teachers - put this in front of students after the reading from excerpt from The Jungle in that Progressive Era lesson
Henry Pelham would like a word
Hey US History teachers - this is what you skipped between the Gulf of Tonkin Lesson and My Lai before you moved into that that "protest music of the 60s" Friday afternoon activity. There's plenty of primary sources to draw from, you just have to learn the history first
"when the people on the one part considered the army as sent to enslave them, and the Army on the other were taught to look on the people as in a state of rebellion, it was but just to fear the most disagreeable consequences. Our fears, we have seen, were but too well grounded" Dr. Joseph Warren
The trouble is Scott Galloway is that talks about a lot of things. He's never met a camera he doesn't like
Here's your connection US History teachers, add this to your Vietnam lesson
Never underestimate the narcotic effect of fawning attention. He's addicted to it now and will continue to do and say whatever's necessary to just get the next bump.
Adults who are say "I know you are, but who am I?"
Imagine of Coca-Cola or McDonald's were as successful in getting their names into life of children every day as much as Google has succeeded in doing just that
Looking at this essay through the lens of highschool US History makes it responsible to ask where the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq appear in the curriculum. Limited instructional time forces tough decisions, but choosing to spend more time on the War of 1812 doesn't make sense to students of 2026.
But its not hard to believe the way @NYTimes reshapes reality by reporting that their story "falls apart" rather than their "lies are exposed".
Yes, this is such an important message. As a history educator I've been trying to get teachers and students to write the primary source documents of their age. No one knows what today is like from their perspective but them. And maybe handwritten ink on paper will be the only mark of authenticity
It's the indecipherable puzzle of living through this time in history, when we can watch and listen to something first hand and come to a clear conclusion as to what it is, and yet see it reported and explained to others as something completely different.
It increasingly seems that almost any social, political or economic issued can be understood by asking the question - How does this take money from a lot of people and give it to just a few people?
Halloween is in October
It will age just as well....
This is proof that discussions are conversations between human beings who are exchanging ideas and observations face to face, at the same time and in the same location. Social media posts, aren't "discussions". It's the difference between a shared meal and a food fight with someone you can't see.
US History teachers should clip this into their primary document sets for a DBQ on the 20teens
With every story of a post-2024 election rebuking the Administration, it redoubles its effort to attack the midterm elections and their results. They will not relinquish power without a fight; voter registration and balloting on the front end, election day and the seating of representatives after
"The presumption of regularity that has been previously extended to Plaintiff that it could be taken at its wordβwith little doubt about its intentions and stated purposesβno
longer holds." It would be difficult to find a single sentence that better encapsulates the totality of our current crisis.
"It's a big club, and you ain't in it" George Carlin
They're playing the oldies
Even if democracy withstands the election onslaught, it still has to has to survive the seating of the winners in Congress.
" you'll hear a lot about what these guys are against this seem to be against just about everything but what are they for "

Classic catch and kill. Not just one story, but the entire paper.
Just heard a little of the Bessant hearing in the Senate, hearing him and the Republicans repeatedly mention President Biden. Imagine a new coach of any professional sports team repeatedly mention the coach he replaced when asked why his team is doing so poorly.
US Teachers should add this or quotes from it to their Mexican-American War DBQs
