I got mom on Memantine and Donezepil as soon as her memory started slipping. It’s helped slow the dementia tremendously.
We’re okay. I mostly take care of my folks. Dad is in late stage COPD and bedridden at 85 and mom is 94 and still hoofin’ it. Just trying to manage 60 hours of caregivers, visiting nurses, PT, OT, and then all mom’s appointments outside and finances and shopping, etc. plus then our house. It’s FTE.
Y’all moving back to the Pacific States of America. We’re probably building a wall.

Last week at this time we were freezing our asses off playing dice games on the side of Mt. Adams. A “glamping” trip to decompress after the election and our goddaughter’s wedding. The crazy things we do for a little sanity.
We could have had a Cabinet filled with capable, competent, compassionate human beings, and instead will be subject to one populated by grifters, career criminals, and sociopaths.
This collective error is going to hurt billions of people and it was so easily prevented.

Public Libraries can be wonderful places where children and adults can find books that they can see themselves reflected in, no matter who they are, and books that can introduce them to entire other lived experiences. Both are so valuable!
