β€œThe military planning has been stellar,” said Michael Rubin, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and an expert on US foreign policy on Iran. β€œThat said, politically, this is increasingly looking like a cluster fuck. And the reason is that step one of any plan is to establish a goal – the targeting should be in pursuit of that goal. The United States has this backwards. We have the targeting, but we don’t have a clear goal, and that lies not on the Pentagon planners, but on Donald Trump.”

For many Black women, the Target boycott is not over. It may never be. A faith leader announced the end of a yearlong β€œTarget fast,” but many Black women who helped launch the boycott say the movement wasn’t his to call off.

We spoke to Black women who started the Target boycott & who sustained it for a yr+. They'll likely never go back.

Teacher Laverne Mickens put it like this: β€œ[Black women] will say if & when it’s over. And I can tell you right now: That will be the 15th of never ever.”

FEDERAL COURT ORDER REQUIRES TENNESSEE SAWMILL TO PAY $73K IN PENALTIES, TURN OVER $10K IN PROFITS FOR ENDANGERING CHILDREN AT WORK

FEDERAL COURT ORDER REQUIRES TENNESSEE SAWMILL TO PAY $73K IN PENALTIES, TURN OVER $10K IN PROFITS FOR ENDANGERING CHILDREN AT WORK

Plateau Sawmill LLC employed two children - as young as 14-years-old - at the sawmill to unload wooden boards from a conveyor belt in violation of the child labor provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition, the sawmill employed a 13-year-old, which violated the FLSA's minimum age standard of 14 years for non-agricultural work.
Investigators learned the three children worked as early as 6 a.m., an hour earlier than the law permits.

The current NWS forecast in Turlock for next Monday and Tuesday is 92F. The hottest ever March day on record in Turlock is 87F. It is jaw-dropping that a monthly record high could be shattered by 5F. Also, do you. Notice anything about the years in which the top-20 hottest March days occur?

A Friend's Death to Mourn, and to Serve Time for - Bolts An Alabama teen was shot alongside his friend, then prosecuted for his killing. His case highlights a particularly harsh doctrine in American criminal punishment: felony murder.

The Alabama governor commuted the death sentence of a man, set to be executed, who was convicted under the felony murder doctrine β€” meaning he wasn’t the person to commit a murder.

Bolts reported last year on how Alabama is extraordinarily prone to prosecute people for murder under felony murder.

I think maybe the second option? But I’m not a quilter (though I do absolutely adore quilts), so if you have any examples of each type of stitching on some other quilts, that might help.

Bering Strait
Florida Strait
Juan de Fuca Strait
Sunda Strait

If you include all geographic straits:

Drake Passage
Mona Passage
Bosporus
English Channel (Strait of Dover)
Dardanelles (Straits of Gallipoli)
