#TramNews: MOTAT has shared photos of the exothermic track welding which has taken place on the Western Springs Tramway.
Exothermic welding is used to join two sections of track together.
#TramNews: Works have begun at MOTAT on the Western Springs Tramway to replace sections of track between Great North Road and MOTAT 2.
The first section being worked on is near Western Springs College and being completed by Libbet.
Many seem to struggle with this one 🤣

Less than 24 hours until the new service begins 👌
Throw back to the last tram live day, all 9 operational trams running simultaneously! At the peak we had a tram arriving at each stop every 2-3 minutes.
Very much looking forward to trains returning to Pukekohe, but a 20 minute service frequency?
Hmmmm I’ll need more turntable roads at this rate 🤣
