Production keeps it simple for the casual viewers (you) & chooses a few storylines to feature in the edit. It's only sometimes accurate as to what's actually happening in the house. It is indeed production's fault that they didn't show what Ashley was doing, because they didn't expect her to win.

Well, it sounds like you're taking the show edit as the whole story which is understandable if you didn't watch any feeds, but no, he didn't. Actively making bad moves and needlessly burning people isn't playing better.
