hell yea. it's too bad they closed the vertical world in Redmond, my middle school did some classes there and I remember having fun but haven't been to a climbing gym since. they even taught us to belay each other, which in respect seems an awful lot of responsibility

I hope you have a good time if you go! idk if you've been to Leavenworth before but it's a quintessential funky WA tourist experience and the area is really pretty in fall and winter, lots of good hiking too
if you can make it over the pass, they recently built one in Leavenworth. I hate coasters so I will not be trying it (and I've heard the locals are not fond of it being built there either)

thank goodness you didn't have to wait that long! when I was growing up in unincorporated Kirkland it was more common to have multi-day power outages. one time it even lasted a week. the area was much less developed back then tho
