three episodes into the last part of the Beastars anime and i still don't really understand what a Beastar is

comic panel 1: back view of a wolf puppy looking out over a field at sunset, wolf pupy is saying "looks like my work here is done" panel 2: wolf pupy continues "or hasn't started yet" panel 3: front view of the wolf puppy now, wolf pupy says "either way i'm leaving." panel 4: in this panel the wolf puppy is now gone, leaving behind a scenic view of the field landscape at night lit only by the moon and stars. a weak attempt at deep and meaningful imagery that is completely unearned.
