“abundance” fight? What is this?
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:1-2
US measles cases in 12 states have jumped 35% in a week, to three times the number of cases from last year. Measles vaccine sources in Texas are running short, or have run out, as unvaccinated people suddenly realize that being unvaccinated is not great.
Five things about measles you might not know

President Donald Trump is promising to unleash the US timber industry by allowing companies to raze swaths of federally protected national forests. The Trump administration quietly issued an executive order Saturday for the “immediate expansion” of commercial logging on federal lands, setting out deadlines for officials to figure out how to fast-track permits and circumvent restrictions set out in the Endangered Species Act and other environmental protections. The order — which calls for the ramping up of the domestic timber production to avoid reliance on “foreign producers” — was followed three days later by sweeping 25% tariffs on Canadian products, including lumber. The United States has an “abundance of timber resources that are more than adequate to meet our domestic timber production needs,” the executive order says.
Hold up I've seen this film.

Memento homo quia pulvis es et in pulverem reverteris
Then, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians, we can comfort those who are afflicted, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. And so we can be agents of God’s restoration in the world.
“Blessed” says Jesus, “are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
In mourning sin, we align ourselves with the heart of God. And so it is when we mourn that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, works in our lives.
But Jesus says blessed are those who mourn. Mourning our own sins. Mourning for the sins of others. Mourning for those yet lost in their sins. Mourning for a world that is torn and broken by sin. For it is those who mourn who shall be comforted, both now and in the world to come.
We live in a world that is broken and marred by sin. Sometimes it seems easiest to look away. Sometimes we want to excuse our own actions or those on our “side”, whether that be friends, family, denomination, political organizations, etc.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
Matthew 5:4

But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.”

“Open your mouth for the speechless,
In the cause of all who are appointed to die.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And plead the cause of the poor and needy.”

In Philippians 3, Paul says that he considers all of his own accomplishments as rubbish in order that he might gain Christ & be found in Him, not having his own righteousness under the law, but Christ’s by faith.
“Blessed”, says Jesus, “are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
It is the truly humble, those who know that there is nothing good in themselves apart from God, who inherit the kingdom. When we rely on our own righteousness, our own moral superiority, we will miss the kingdom of heaven.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:3
The Beatitudes, pronounced by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, challenge all of our expectations. It is not those who are most “spiritual” that Jesus calls blessed, but those who are spiritually impoverished.

Skeet? Is that what we are calling these? I think I like it...
Skimming over this, it seems like they are using quality of news sources as a proxy for misinformation and I’m a bit skeptical of that. Additionally, Trump vs Biden may not quite line up with conservative vs liberal.
I’ll be honest, I’m a bit skeptical regarding how anyone manages to get an unbiased analysis on this.
BTW, I love audiobooks narrated by the author!
