I keep trying to write something witty in reply, truth is, I am very disappointed with humanity . Art is the expression of the human soul, but it looks like we actually prefer the soulless. Seeking mysteries of nature our quest, but we are outsourcing it. Then what’s the point of human existence?

Hey, thanks for posting this. With everything going on with Venezuela I hadn't even heard about what has been going on in Iran.

I love this Janus piece, will you have it in your shop at any point?

Black and white Lino style illustration of a two headed Greek Janus coin. A large black frame surrounds a smaller frame containing a coin depicting the Greek god Janus. Janus is deprived as a two headed bust facing away from each other one. The coin is crosshatched with a crescent moon on one side and a sun on the other. Rays of black are extending to the corns and swirls and 8 point stars fill the background. Underneath the bust is a crosshatched pattern

Victorian Ward - Black and white illustration of a Victorian wall with a scarab ward framed. The border of the whole piece is a torn paper. Inside is Victorian black and white striped wallpaper with damask type filigree in the black and smaller stripes and speckles in the white with small vertical black stripes on either side. In the damask pattern are slightly abstract symbols of infinity, an hourglass and other resurrection symbols. In the middle is an ornate rectangular frame framing a large scarab beetle with its wings out. On its wings are celestial symbols like Jupiter, stars and the moon. Around the scarab are peony flowers and branches of a tree branching towards the top left with a vine white line swooping in an out and around the frame in the same direction. The scarabs body is engraved like metal with filigree. Behind the scarab in the frame is grain shading grey over black.

Altar prayer card for the goddess Diana. A rectangular card has a black border with parts of the Orphic hymn for Diana surrounding it as a border in white text. In the bottom right are twin arrows over a crescent moon representing her and Apollo. In the bottom left and top right are white outlined 8 point stars. Inside the border is a marble shockwave black and grey pattern with white outlining that forms an arch at the top with lining to look like columns on both sides. In the middle is a stag skull with painted antlers of a diamond and star pattern. Behind the skull are smaller 8 point stars and cloud ripples. Above the skull is a scraggly branch of queen Anne’s lace with small dots above. In the top corners are two constellations for Sirius as her hunting dogs and Roman numerals for 13 and 8 for the date of the Nemoralia festival.

"The universe is in the habit of making beauty. There are flowers and songs, snowflakes and smiles, acts of great courage, laughter between friends, a job well done, the smell of fresh baked bread. Beauty is everywhere." ~ Matthew Fox

Washington's forests face massive tree die-off Of Washington's 22 million forested acres, the Department of Natural Resources manages about 3 million acres of state land.

"As droughts intensify & insects thrive in warming forests, trees are dying of thirst while being eaten alive. It's a double assault turning once-green mountainsides into graveyards of standing dead timber...'This trend could continue as our climate continues to warm."🌏 www.king5.com/article/tech...

Each Word Is A Lantern You’ve Dropped In The Sand

You drift on a little boat
that can only think about sinking.

It does not know which side is heaven
and which is sea. It’s all the same, blue,

blur, the way you cannot know the difference
between the voice of God or that of small birds.

Everything sings, especially when we are drowning
everything is music, a language we bend

closer to hear. The boat smells of crushed
violets. There is a storm coming, supposedly,

but the mirror’s surface is undisturbed.
And the boat is angry at the storm

for not pulling it under the tideline. Because sometimes
we want

that collision, that sharp cleave
of a before and an after but here we are

still, in the middle, between the heartbeat of the waves
where we trace a lineage of salt stains

from one dim star to the other. There is
a semblance of yourself forced to sail

half-empty around the great ice caves
where the glitter of their echo has you baptized

with the silence of half-being, half-not.
Maybe the storm was that sigh you had let

escape through the vault of your lips.
And the weight of the moments is flitting

through the church of your hands
like a fish. This morning, the revelation

had been out of print. So you sewed
the glimmering moon

into the hem of your billowing skirts
to take a fire with you, to strike

a small match in the night. Each step is a day
passing, an era, a life; the legs still bewitched

just thinking of fins. All the lighthouses with their restless eyes
were looking for you across the periphery,

sweeping the coastline for something, some moral
in the wreck of yourself.

The body itself is a shrine
upon which the storm’s breath stitches its meaning,

the cold wind that silvers our secrets,
the water that hollows you out

until only one light is left,
until the altar is ivory bone.

The cracked planks glisten
with the ocean’s white wedding froth,

who is married to the deep in us all,
the darkness where the wilderness sleeps.

Only when they spread their wings
are they wakers of a wind:
as if God with his broad sculptor-
hands leafed through the pages
in the dark book of the beginning.

I'm reposting this again .. yes I know .. but really if we say we love nature and wildlife we should .. must even know how much damage we do to all that which we love through the way we choose to access and be near that which we love.

Hey folks! Google is fucking you via sneaky enshittification again!
Want the shit in your google drive to load instantly again, instead of taking for-fucking-ever?
Open your gdrive (web OR app)
Settings > Manage Apps
Gemini was checked "use as default" (and i sure the fuck didn't set it that way, this was a silent push)
Nuke that, and suddenly, folders that took up to a minute to populate and sort do so in a fraction of a second.

Art is individualism. There lies its immense value. For what it seeks is to disturb monotony, slavery of custom, tyranny of habit&the reduction of man to the level of a machine. It seeks to show new perspectives&choices. It is a way to expand&liberate the conscious& thereby our lives.
-Oscar Wilde

I have a friend going through this. He claimed to be the main character of the world and that the interstellar asteroid passing through was aliens because that is what would make a better story. He said this like an obvious fact. It seems like he runs every decision through a LLM. I fear for us all.
