I think they should try to create opportunities in the rotation for younger pieces. I want to see Pallante and McGreevy in the Opening Day rotation, I want Sem Robberse to get an extended look some point during the season, Mathews is getting close.
If Arenado stays, I would expect to see more of Gorman at 2B, (with Donovan in the corner outfield) and at DH. Trading Arenado would pave the way for Gorman to play every day at one position (3B), but I think the Cardinals will still give him plenty of playing time in 2025.
