1) 99.99999% of artists/writers/actors/creative people in general don't make anywhere NEAR as much money as most people think we do. The vast majority of us are making well below a living wage from our work.

2) Follower count does not translate into sales. You'd think it would, but it just doesn't.

There's a lot of art discourse going around today about the size of an artists follower account and how 'successful' they are and I just want to clear up a few misconceptions that have only gotten more amplified in the social media era...
