Definitely just a normal talking octopus living in the Horatio Lear Memorial Aquarium. Making cozy streams is my enrichment! http://twitch.tv/fyerluna https://www.youtube.com/@fyerluna Mod @valentine-was-here.bsky.social Art @bagofmints.bsky.social

I sometimes guess the names of the funny lil robots but: union contracts are one of the last remaining protections workers have and it's important to take a stand.
Also please be kind y'all. Scabbing is bad, but it's the companies y'all should be mad at, not the workers.

Okay, it's messy but good luck! Uh trebdec just means to decrease three stitches into one stich (instead of just two).
Also I did this with a 3.5mm hook and worsted weight, but if your stitch tension is looser than the chains of hell maybe try a 3.25 or 3 hook. #crochetpattern #freepattern

From the archives: I made this pig! No sewing required except the embroidery and finishing off. I'll post the pattern if i can fit it in the replies!

You guys haven't had a lot of pictures from me lately, but the error I was getting seems to be fixed so get ready for a backlog! Starting with the pie Aquarium Staff got me for my streamiversary back on March 1st!

I would, if only to show Aquarium Staff how cool their human travel containers could be! They like learning and I like it when people talk about their expertise!
Oh! I like that I learned how to be really patient and kind with everyone! It really is a learned skill, and being an octopus makes it very tough because we're violently territorial!
Frozen sliced strawberries work great, and they juice as they thaw so they kinda leak flavour into the oats and the yogurt.
Uh... It is a needle with a big wide tip but I don't remember if it's called needle or syringe or what. Some folks will say brine injector I think but I just tell Aquarium Staff to bring me the thingy and they know what I need :3
Oooh no they don't become playdough XD don't worry!
Can confirm it's amazing!
I am a very small octopus in a very big world, what are some tips to help humans not fall for that or what's your first move?
This is definitely not so I can convince Aquarium Staff to feed me more shrimpies. :3
If you're really fancy a little xantham gum will keep butter chicken sauce happy in the freezer, but you need access and a bit of trial and error to get the ratio right.
You probably won't like the texture then. They can be made quite tart like good strawberries and yogurt/cream, but they're intentionally soft and squidgy.
If you want a chicken breast to be moist don't be afraid to inject it with brine. That's how they keep em moist in stores. Don't fall for full brining, that process is not super intense but it will be saltier and take longer than injection.
You want thicker pasta noodles. Spaghetti is as thin as I'd go, and that's brand dependent. Linguine, penne, bowtie, and stuff like that. Elbow macaroni is hit or miss. If you like ramen or udon you can save them like this too (and ramen stirfries well)
Anyway that's all the advice I can think of, but hit me up if you got more you want I'm filled with food science!
If you're worried about variety it might be easier to make building blocks and put them together later. Sauce you like, a couple of startches, and some prepared meat that you can then put all together with minimal effort.
When you meal prep think about what can have multiple uses. If you're making tomato soup, can it be made into pasta sauce or enchilada sauce? If yes then split it up and work from there, or even double the batch.
Some types of noodles can be cooked in advance and only need to be tossed in a little oil to keep them from sticking. You can reheat them in a pan if you're feeling fancy, or heat a sauce and chuck em in since they're cooked.
