Top 5 Games of 2025 (for me)
The Adventurers: The Pyramid of Horus (2011) - A grail game for me that got to the table this year. I love both "The Adventurers" games, and Pyramid has great press your luck elements.

Top 5 Games of 2025 (for me)
Cape May (2021) - A game about developing the seaside property of Cape May, NJ - perfect for my husband John Mundy and a pretty great example of this kind of game. Eric Mosso is a designer I'll keep on looking for.
Top 5 Games of 2025 (for me)
Star Trek: Captainβs Chair (2025) - David Turczi and Nigel Buckle have come up with one of the most intriguing Star Trek IP games in a long while, totally capturing the flavor of Star Trek. Mechanically complicated in that WizKids way, but worth the effort.
Top 5 Games of 2025 (for me)
I'm perpetually late to "new hotness" (I'm mostly old hotness at best), but these five were the stand-outs.
Obsession (2018) - Kayenta Publishing absolutely crushed it with this game of Victorian estate, party and social management. Interesting mechanics and context.

I'm perpetually late to "new hotness" (I'm mostly old hotness at best), but these five were the stand-outs.
Sleeping Gods: Distant Skies (2023) - Ryan Laukat doesn't misfire ever, and Distant Skies is even more enjoyable than Sleeping Gods.
#Time2Trek - Q
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
TNG s6e15 "Tapestry" is a masterpiece of writing, inflecting Trek's time travel tendencies into a place where Q can actually act with a certain grace.
#Time2Trek - Chronitons
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
More chronitons, which of course feature prominently in Borg transportation, like in PIC s1e8 "Broken Pieces."
Which of these #StarTrek characters would you prefer to seek life advice from?
Joseph Sisko - wise, humble, thoughtful and honest with himself.
#Time2Trek - Chronitons
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
TNG s5e24 "The Next Phase" - pesky Romulans and their vexing chronitons again! LeVar Burton and Michelle Forbes was a fun pairing.
That would have been delicious!
#Time2Trek - Visitor out of Time
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
TNG s5e9 "A Matter of Time" gives us S-tier scenery chewing from the peerless Matt Frewer as Berlinghoff Rassmussen, yet another charming scoundrel
#Time2Trek - Time Loop
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
Perhaps stretching the definition of time loop, DS9 s4e2 "The Visitor" is a top 10 all time, all shows episode. Ben Sisko's journey through Jake's life without him. Gets me every time. Tony Todd was a national treasure, as is this episode.
#Time2Trek - Visiting the Future
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
Short Treks s1e2 "Calypso" is lovely and perfect and I hope that we get to see this story resolved at last at some point.
#Time2Trek - Time Loop
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
TNG s5e18 "Cause and Effect" is a regular rewatch for me - one of the great science-forward episodes of Trek as a whole.
#Time2Trek - Visiting the Past
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
Meeting a young Guinan in PIC s2e4 was one of the highlights of the second season of Star Trek: Picard.
#Time2Trek - Visiting the Past

Captain Christopher was an S-tier guest star in TOS s1e19 "Tomorrow is Yesterday," an episode that gives us so much lore for future Trek. An embarrassment of riches that is among the most re-watchable of TOS episodes.
#Time2Trek - Nefarious Change
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
That scoundrel Arne Darvin at it again in DS9 s5e6 "Trials and Tribbleations." Trek perfection. And how great to get Charlie Brill back as Darvin.
#Time2Trek - Timeline Preservation
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
DIS s5e4 "Face the Strange" is so entertaining and a good example of timeline shenanigans.

#InterspeciesTrek Collaboration 1

#TrekSky
Collaboration turns to confrontation in ENT s3e13 "Proving Ground" when the Andorian commander Shran goes his own way against Cpt Archer.
#InterspeciesTrek Viewscreen 2
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
Surely TOS s1e14 "Balance of Terror" has two of the great viewscreen communications ever. Enterprise to Cmndr Hansen on Outpost 4 and with the Romulan commander at the end of the episode.
#InterspeciesTrek Viewscreen 1
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
In TNG s3e10 "The Defector," we get one of the great viewscreen throwdowns between Captain Picard and Romulan Commander Tomalak, played with deliciousness by the always great Andreas Katsulas. Always good to see these two characters spar.
#InterspeciesTrek Writing
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
In DIS s5e2 "Under the Twin Moons," writing figures prominently in the sacred architecture on Lyrek, giving Burnham and Saru a direction in which to go.
#InterspeciesTrek: Reading
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
In DS9 s5e10 "Rapture" Captain Sisko encounters glyphs on a pillar that rigger visions related to B'hala and Bajor's future.
Scientific exploration and interspecies communication - so many great Trek episodes start from these places, and this one completely delivered. Pretty extraordinary and very creative!

In TNG s3e2 "The Ensigns of Command," Picard bests the infuriating Sheliak by beating them at their own game.
#CompareTrek - T'pol and T'rina differences
#StarTrek
#TrekSky
One area of difference is their differing levels of political skill, largely a function of experience, with T'rina clearly having more nuance in that department.
