What better way to spend a Friday evening than by lying on the floor, listening to Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, and rotting away

A variety of crows based on real species are on a pastel background. The surroundings are filled with sparkly effects that crows love. The birds are smiling gently or playfully and look happy and joyful.

Main character energy is OUT, this summer we’re bringing NPC energy. We’re posted up at the bar dropping lore and suggesting side quests. We’re leaning casually near a locked door and saying “I don’t think you have the key for that” when someone tries the handle. We’re staring at a tree.

Honestly, same. I'm still struggling to finish 2ha - I think I've read up to book 3? The number of books in that series is intimidating! I've started Yuwu, but I've only finished book 1.

Yuwu + 2ha haven't put me off (yet), but Case File Compendium Vol 1 is really difficult to get through :\

Yeahhhh, I'm halfway through the first book, and I'm not sure how to feel about it 🫠 (not a huge fan so far, but I'm hoping it gets better 😭)

Plan: go rogue and write something incredibly evocative that anyone who reads it will feel a gentle squeeze in their chest, leaden with loss and bittersweet nostalgia.

An underrated fandom experience is having a friend you can privately complain about your least favorite ships or headcanons with so you can have your petty bitch time without ever insulting or offending anyone in the fandom, and I think more people need to learn to do this

Actually the best life advice I ever got: Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. A half-cleaned room is better than an uncleaned room. Occasionally flossing is better than never flossing. A 10-minute workout is better than no workout. When it’s all you can do to get out of bed, get out of bed.

The Raincoat
by Ada Limón

When the doctor suggested surgery
and a brace for all my youngest years,
my parents scrambled to take me
to massage therapy, deep tissue work,
osteopathy, and soon my crooked spine
unspooled a bit, I could breathe again,
and move more in a body unclouded
by pain. My mom would tell me to sing
songs to her the whole forty-five minute
drive to Middle Two Rock Road and forty-
five minutes back from physical therapy.
She’d say, even my voice sounded unfettered
by my spine afterward. So I sang and sang,
because I thought she liked it. I never
asked her what she gave up to drive me,
or how her day was before this chore. Today,
at her age, I was driving myself home from yet
another spine appointment, singing along
to some maudlin but solid song on the radio,
and I saw a mom take her raincoat off
and give it to her young daughter when
a storm took over the afternoon. My god,
I thought, my whole life I’ve been under her
raincoat thinking it was somehow a marvel
that I never got wet.

This is a friendly reminder to please make an AO3 account, if you haven't already.

With the constant AI scraping and reuploading, more and more fic authors are locking down their stories. It sucks, but this is our reality right now.

We want to share with you, not a machine 💖💕
