And what's worse, he's more of DECENT HUMAN than they'll ever be.

I LOVE my chicken! I think we should do a Wallace-and-Gromit style animation with them....Maybe the chickens storm the White House???
Love you!
Thank you! You too!! And I just checked out the Flashes app! It's going to be great!
A Soft Light on the Marsh
8 x 8 encaustic in progress
Sending wishes of peace and resilience to all who are being adversely affected by the dark totalitarian regime in Washington.
I would be so proud to do the same! The US has become a beacon of shame and darkness at this time.
Welcome Sweetie!!
Lucky her!! It will be beautiful and loved forever.
How fantastic! It makes your kitchen look so tropical!!
Autumn Mist
Encaustics, ink, oils with wax on panel.
One thing that brings me a great sense of peace & resilience is observing ever-shifting conditions in the natural world, then expressing my observations in encaustics.
On view at Bank Art Gallery,Newburgh NY reception 2/7 6-8pm. #FightFacsism
Thank you so much! In these small works, I can work them, set them aside, and then go back to add just the slightest touches...eventually they come to a point where I feel they are complete.
Winter Stillness
Sharing a moment of tranquility from atop my wintry Northern Catskill Mountain.
This 6x6 encaustic with inks & oils is among the 49 works in my "Parlor Room" solo show at Bank Art gallery, Newburgh, NY: part of the Expressions in Every Form exhibit.

This small encaustic was the first work I had in a national Museum exhibition in 2019. On view at Bank Art Gallery, Reception 2/7, 6-8pm.
Learned so much about trusting the process of building up & scraping back to the point where you can hear your squeaky footsteps in the snow.
One thing that is helpful Jenell is that if you go into HOME and then select FOLLOWING you'll see posts from the people you follow and it looks more like IG.
I'm still figuring all this out, too, though!
Thanks, Karen!
Exhibition runs Feb 7 through March 30, 2025
The gallery hours are:
Friday - 4–8 PM
Saturday - 12–5 PM
Sunday - 12–5 PM
Well...I'm so humbled and delighted to know you feel that way as I SO greatly admire your works on paper!
As an educator I believed that as we understood the awfulness we'd move towards a more just world in which compassion & goodness overcame savage darkness.
I still believe it but hadn't foreseen how utterly blind masses could become thru disinformation, enabling the viral spread of unspeakable evil.
Looking forward to spending time with artists and other decent human beings as we all sort out how to fight what's going down in the US before it's too late.
This encaustic, Seasons Collide, is on view at the Bank Art Gallery, Newburgh, NY as part of Expression in Every Form. Reception 2/7 6-8pm
It's time for our own coup.
May we summon the strength and fortitude to fight this administration tooth and nail with ferocity every step of the way!
Origins is one of 49 works I'll have on view at the amazing new Bank Art Gallery in Newburgh, NY!
If you can make it, I'd love to welcome you to the reception on Feb 7, 6 - 8pm.
Let's fight Trump every day, inch by inch, by speaking up & out against his autocracy & all his sycophant enablers.
Not sure if it is a function of getting older, a response to the times, or some stage in my art journey...but remnants, traces, things half-forgotten or half-remembered seem to be the subject matter of my work these days.
Glad you are here, too!
A related app, Flashes, is coming soon and that will be much more IG-like in format (according to what I've read.) This platform is a bit too like Twitter for my taste, but I'll see how it goes posting here.
All the best to you during these trying (horrifying) times!
A Fallen Blossom will be on view at the Unison Arts in New Paltz NY as part of You're Breaking Up - reception Sat. Feb 8 at 4pm.
The show is juried by the amazing Liz Keithline whose show Breaking Broken will run concurrently.

Pro-social action is SO important right now!
Thanks so much for repost!
Thank you, Karen! So much building up and scraping back/unearthing in this one!
