It gets back to the problem of silicon valley (and more specifically the funding driving it) being obsessed with the idea of an "easy button" for everything. Sociopaths point AI at things that actually require humanity and expertise and say, "good enough" when in reality it isn't good at all.
There is so much potential for deep sociological study on the people who wrap their cybertrucks. I saw a guy at SFO park and ride with a neon orange wrapped cyber truck that matched his shoes. It was amazing.
I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

LLMs are the logical conclusion of the silicon valley obsession with the 'everything button.' While there are definitely good specific use cases, there is so much belief in, and money being pumped into the lies that they can do anything. I've generally shifted to asking what they can do well.
