I always put it in alt because I have space there 😄

🧶 I’ve pretty much been away from here for a few days, and my knitting mojo has been low. I’ve been lying around staring at the walls in my free time to rest instead. So here’s a lace project from over 5 years ago. My sister picked this yarn for me, and I still adore it. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky
I don’t knit many circular yokes, but I would do it because I know it gives me better fit with other constructions. I’m usually just at the amount of difference where designers start recommending specific shaping to accommodate bust, and I decide according to how much bother it’s going to be 😅
Someone somewhere said: instead of all or nothing, I do all or something.
And it really stuck with me. I tell myself that all the time now.
That’s what I really liked about the pattern. It takes one design and flows from one texture into another, while continuing the design. It did take me a bit to figure out which yarns I wanted to use with it. I’m very happy with the result.
A hand knit triangular shawl is laid out. It is striped parallel to one edge in 5 sections. The section along the parallel edge is a beige garter stitch. Next comes a beige and dusty rose mosaic knit section of zigzags. Then a large dusty rose lace section of zigzags. The last zigzag section is dusty rose and off white mosaic knit, and the shawl ends of with an off-white garter section in the far corner. Pattern: Terzetto by Lisa Hannes Yarn: Lanivendole A Stormy Blend in Perla and A Chic Blend in Panna and Isager Yarn Alpaca 2 in Peach

🧶 This my favourite lace shawl that I have knitted. I did not have enough yarn to make it the size in the pattern, but it’s still a good size. I love the way it turned out, and I’ve worn it for 7 winters now. As I age, I seem to be sticking to a colour palette for longer. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky
I also have anxiety beforehand, so I have to have the resources to manage that just to get to the gathering. It helps if I know beforehand that the people will be more diverse, but I do then have anxiety about being “enough” or “too much”.
Being neurodivergent, non-binary, and from the Philippines makes many social gathering a swirl of decisions whether to keep quiet or speak out about certain things. It’s exhausting, and I also often don’t have the energy for it. Neurodivergence plays at least as big a role in this for me.
I’m going to have a think about this. I’m extremely hesitant to enter offline knitting spaces here. I’ve only been to ones with all white cis het women. Maybe my hesitancy is keeping me from finding others. But it comes from experiences of feeling left out of the camaraderie in those kind of groups.
Ooh, that was a lovely read 🥰 thank you.
Thank you ^^ I’ve named this one strawberry 🍓 which I shouldn’t, because it’s definitely going to a baby and who knows what they’ll call it.
There’s no way I would have appreciated all of them, if I had kept them. Most of them are definitely somewhere where they were at least appreciated more for a certain time, but still 😭
I just found out about this. Unfortunately I can’t go, but maybe someone else is spontaneous.
🧶 You guys, I did it! Assembly completed! 🥳 It only took about a month 😅 It’s so nice not to have it in the back of my head anymore. I’m going to celebrate for a bit, before continuing with all the other things I want to make. #CraftSky #FOFriday #CrochetSky
A hand knit monkey with long, slinky limbs sits on a ceramic jar. The grey brown monkey has teal coloured feet and ears, and rusty red coloured hands. The tail is striped in grey brown, teal, and rusty red. Its snout is beige and it has black embroidered eyes, rusty red embroidered nostrils and a beige embroidered belly button. Pattern: Jerry the Musical Monkey by Rebecca Danger Yarn: Wolle Rödel Siena
🧶One more animal for #ShowMeYourKnits before I go adult. This monkey is a quick knit, and I hope the person it went to enjoyed having it. Sometimes I see the pictures of stuffies I made, and am wistful that I didn’t keep them. This one is one of those, with its fun yarn trove colours. #KnitSky

A crocheted work in progress monkey on a bed. The monkey has a long tail and a body striped in dusty pink, and light and bright green. The long arms are crocheted in the same colours with bright pink paws. The face and snout are bright pink while the top of the head is dusty pink. The ears are Dusty pink and bright pink on the inside. The legs are still missing, as are the fingers and toes. Pattern: my own Yarn: Søstrene Grene 100% Cotton 8/4
🧶 I am having the most chaotic crafting week. My stay-at-home project turned out to be using up too much yarn, so I took the time to swatch at a looser gauge, and recalculate the pattern. I decided to restart my current carry-outside project, and this beast still hasn’t assembled itself.😭 #CraftSky
The colourful squares look so fun. Perfect for spring!

Phew, glad Karla’s looking better 😮💨
YES! Just when is the question. I have like 3-4 patterns I’ve started writing up, but haven’t finished because I can’t decide on things. I actually feel stuck. My perfectionism hasn’t hit that hard in other areas of my life in a long time 🫣
A hand knit sweater is laid flat on a wooden floor. It is sized for 2-year-olds, and has diagonal yoke shaping and allover stranded colourwork. The hem, cuffs, and neckline are knit in a silver grey yarn. The rest is knit in colourful stripes of dusty rose, neon yellow, anthracite, neon red, and light sky blue. Every colourful stripe has beige sheep of differing sizes facing forward. Pattern: Flax Sock by Tin Can Knits without the garter stitch panels, and with the colourwork chart centered on the body and arms Yarn: Ovis et Cetera Herba Mini Skein Set and Lanivendole A Stormy Blend Fingering in Perla
A hand knit toque is laid flat on a wooden floor. It is sized for smaller adult heads, and has allover stranded colourwork. It is knitted in beige yarn with colourful stripes of dusty rose, neon yellow, anthracite, neon red, and light sky blue sheep facing forward. The hem is folded up, so the sheep there are upside down. Pattern: Musselburgh by Ysolda Teague with a colourwork chart added Yarn: Ovis et Cetera Herba Mini Skein Set and Lanivendole A Stormy Blend Fingering in Perla
In this picture you can see that it is knitted as a long tube with both ends rounded off, making the end result a double layered toque. Quadruple layered if you fold up the hem. On the bottom half you can see that Cesca ran out of the colourful mini skeins, and used it all up before adding an ice blue for the second crown. You can also see that the colourwork pattern is turned upside down over the bottom half, so the sheep are right side up whichever way around the toque is worn. 🧶 #ShowMeYourKnits Animals, you say? How about a matching, but inverted toddler-adult set with colourful sheep? My nibling luckily could wear this sweater for two winter seasons, and I bring out this Musselburgh when it’s extra cold because it is the THICKEST and warmest toque I own. #KnitSky
I’m with you on that. I’ve been practicing using the nice things. I get more positive emotions out of enjoying using them even if I’m a bit sad when they run out, than getting increasingly more sad they weren’t used.
Not a single stitch has been knitted since that post, but I did remember that I hadn’t shared these lovelies, that qualify for #FOFriday and #ShowMeYourKnits. I did have a nap and play Loom. A video game I can get distracted from for 5 minutes without pausing was just what I needed. #KnitSky
Cesca’s hand holds a stockinette stitch work in progress in a dusty orange-pink colour. There are gold locking stitch markers along the right edge and the metal knitting needle shines in sunlight. 🧶 It’s been A WEEK everyone, I adults so much, that I have to really force myself to adult today. Keeping me fed can be such a chore. 🫣 So it’s time for a bit of rest from that for an hour, or two, or three… maybe I can work on this vest, maybe it’s time just to rest. #ShowMeYourKnits #KnitSky
An folgenden Orten finden am und um den 19. Februar 2026 Kundgebungen, Demos und Gedenkveranstaltungen statt. Diese Übersicht wird fortlaufend aktualisiert.
A hand knit vest is draped on a light grey armchair. The vest is knitted in a diagonal texture that is reminiscent of scales and in a dusty red yarn. The high-low hem is ribbed and the ribbing runs up the sides to the armhole edging. It has a crew neck also edged with ribbing. Pattern: Reading Room Slipover by Aimee Sher Yarn: Schoppel-Wolle Wool Finest in Raw Chocolate
🧶 My partner is away for a while, and it has taken me a few weeks to get myself sorted out managing living on my own for a bit. I also had a week long seminar that meant that I spent the last week recuperating from the change in routine. So glad knitting helps me regulate. #KnitSky #ShowMeYourKnits
The portrait, the yarn, and your words are just what I needed to see today. Thank you
For me as well.
Nice! I really enjoyed knitting it.
