I know I’ve got some Labour local gov’t types following me, so I want to say this clearly so that you can share it internally as appropriate: I will never again vote Labour while these policies, or Wes Streeting, are in place. I will not vote Labour at any level because of this.

The updated EHRC Code of Practice has now been sent to the Government. The Code is just as bad as we feared.
It would mean a mandatory trans bathroom ban, and trans people's exclusion from public life. The impact would be devastating.

8 years of debilitating pain, never taken seriously, called uncooperative for refusing hormonal birth control (I quite like not going psychotic), told ‘we won’t find anything’, told ‘there is no treatment’
MRIs showing endo and adeno later and I am now on a med licensed specifically to treat these.
So the government really are just targeting trans people now.
The board rejected her appointment because of her obvious bias against trans people & connection to anti-trans organisations.
This makes a mockery of the whole idea of the EHRC.

I spent a week at Hilfield Friary recently, visiting a very cool and lovely friend, and I would like you to appreciate the lovely trans altar flowers I put together
If you were solely going by the headline, you'd be under the wrong impression that this was a trans nurse that did this.
In fact, the trans person at the center of this is a doctor who was harassed by this nurse who constantly spouted racist, transphobic stuff to her colleagues.
Way to go BBC.
